SINGER: I’m looking for someone who can do the more emotional, intense, or soulful bits, I’ll handle the screams. Definitely want to write with the singer and come up with some cohesive lyrics that blend our ideas well. Preferred range would be a baritone, baritenor, tenor 1 or 2.

I (26 y/o) am the frontwoman and graphic designer for my upcoming metalcore band.

Our values are simple: we want to remind everyone to look after each other in a world that is becoming more cutthroat and hyper transactional. Internet algorithms have done a fantastic job of catering to the individual, but has caused undeniable divides amongst us as a society, and it shows in the younger generations especially.

The sound of Referendum is familiar, yet unique: think down-tuned chugs and sombre riffs with the classic atmospheric metalcore aesthetic, accompanied by smooth, intimate blues vocals. If I were backed into a corner and forced to describe the soundscape, imagine if Siouxsie Sioux were the lead vocalist for Bad Omens.

Currently, we have a vocalist (me) and a bassist (21). We are trying to find a guitarist and drummer. We're based in North London, so we'd prefer our bandmates to be local to the area too.

What's up! I'm a guitarist in the East Bay looking for musicians who want to start an original metal band and eventually record music, play shows, and take things seriously.

The sound I'm going for: Groove metal mixed with technical death metal. Think Lamb of God, Bleed From Within, necrophagist, death. and technical, chaotic riffing, with an emphasis on memorable riffs, aggressive rhythms, tight grooves, and interesting songwriting. I want the music to feel heavy and human, not just be low-tuned chugs for the sake of it.

I'm currently writing toward a sound like lamb of god necrophagist and the band death and some prog stuff in there as well to make a unique riffing style, with room for technical death metal influences and more experimental ideas.
