During his performances, Martin Harlow (aka Unzie) would often hide his hair inside a top hat and tell audiences, “I never tip my hat to the ladies. If I should, they’d think a bombshell had exploded.” Whereupon he’d take the hat off and all his hair would poof out. It proved to be a popular trick.
