I have now discovered that it is possible to fall off one of the walkways in New Gad and get trapped underneath unable to either jump back out or fast travel as you are standing in water and taking damage 🙄

Did it during an Infestation and didn't want to server hop and loose the loot so the only option was suicide, but couldn't even get that right as first couple of tries my Perks and Armour kept healing me faster than I could inflict damage on myself 🙄 Think this probably tops falling in a Fissure for the stupidest way I have died in this game to date (and no the Boss loot wasn't worth it - yet another Battle Loaders Wooden Leg).

If you ever get stuck in a situation like this (I also got stuck on a bit of awkward terrain in a nuke zone and couldn't move or fast travel) you can start an expedition from the map menu and then fast travel back from the expedition to anywhere on the map.

That begs a question, and something I haven't tried. Can one choose to respawn into starting an expedition, I guess I'll have to find out.

I've also used enter/exit power armor to get untrapped from terrain.

You might try placing your PA in front of you and entering it. I have unstuck myself more than once that way.

I’ve gotten trapped there too - you can get out with third person and / or a jetpack and a lot of effort.

But yeah… it’s kind of a pain.

What you could do is put one in your favorite wheel, and then whatever chest piece you use. That way you can swap it on and off as needed.

Marsupial also works iirc.

There are also the wooden barricades where you stay in a falling animation, and not be able to get out, theres the ones in Berkeley springs going from the house the infestation boss spawns on towards bloody franks, and they are also behind the church in harpers ferry. Fot stuck in those multiple times too. Can fast travel out of those tho, but still annoying
