We had a breakthrough today!
Tonka Bean hopped on the couch with me, and even climbed on my chest for a second and sniffed my face!! He only stayed up for a minute but it’s a huge step so far!

Thank you! ❤️ he’s a sweet guy. We’re still working on getting him to come out of his safe room more than a few feet and for more than a few minutes. We’re four months in, so baby steps!

Aww how lovely!! It's been so interesting to see how methodical they can be; these little brief trials of new levels/types of closeness, contact, vulnerability. I bet he keeps coming and keeps staying longer over time 😊

I’m hoping so!!! He even semi got up with my husband yesterday, who he’s still a little scared of so that was even more progress!
