I Just Realized Callie’s Progress…

Post image

I am utterly stunned right now.

June 12, 2026 to October 3, 2026.

She has been out and about so much that I mistook her for one of my other cats earlier, and had to double take.

Thank you guys so much for all of your support 💜

Hardly, she has done all the work. If she hadn’t had the will to fight, there would have been nothing I could have done.

She would not be where she is now if not for this community. Yall are and have been amazing. If anyone would have told me she would bounce back the way she has… idk if I would have believed them.

I’ve given her support, but she’s done the hard work! She’s a fighter.

That is so wonderful to see! This little girl deserves as much love, health and happiness as she can get. I still want to weep for all she’s been through, but seeing her so improved is just beautiful 😻. Thanks so much for all you’ve done for her! ❤️

Thank you so much. It really is mind blowing isn’t it?

I am still hoping that one day she will choose to snuggle with us. But even if she doesn’t, I’ll be happy knowing she’s inside, safe and loved and well fed. I don’t know if she understands, but I made a promise to her that I wouldn’t abandon her, and I plan to keep it.

This extremely feral, intact male hopped up on my bed recently. He let me lightly scratch his head before getting scared and hissing.

I have three other ferals that I have adopted from the yard that snuggle with me from time to time. I put in years of time, love, and patience with them to get to where we are.

Callie is doing amazing thanks to you. I would wager she will be your snuggle buddy in the future. You and Callie are doing amazing.

I had a female feral who was scared to death of me. She didn't want to be in the same room as me and if I moved she bolted. I told her the same. She can hate me forever and I'm OK with that. But she's safe, fed, warm, and with her bonded mate. Being loved in returned wasn't required. She did end up loving me and being a huge cuddlebug.

Oh my! That's a huge difference. She looks like a healthy indoor kitty now! It's so heartwarming to see.

She seems so much calmer, I’m not even going to lie.

She seems like she feels safer. If you get too close, you still see a bit of fear cross her face, but it seems less terror and more apprehension. Last night we had a huge accomplishment, which was that she gave me a little nose touch to my knuckle.

It really is true, that real heroes don't wear capes. Thank you for giving Callie all the love in the worlds and showing her a good life after Mr. Orange. 8 know she appreciates it ❤️
