Neutered

I got my 7 month old cat neutered and I brought him back in to the vet to have him stay there tell he is good to go. Cuz I brought him home and hated the cone and just started messing with the incision rubbing his butt on the ground. Have u guys left your cars there tell he was ready to come home and be normal? And am I a bad parent for taking him back to be taken care off?

Not at all, you’re a caring parent.

Every cat I’ve ever seen hates the cone and it makes you feel so bad to see them try to get out of it but it’s kind of necessary.

We brought ours home but the cone stayed on, and we felt like the meanest human beings on the planet! Probably best for your kitty that he can stay at the vet and they can observe him (ours didn’t rub his butt on the ground so not sure why yours is doing that).

Thank u. My kids felt sad that he was going back and they were thinking that he wouldn’t remember us. I told them he will remember us. He will be happy to come home and okah with u guys. Yeah come made him go crazy jumping all over the ground on his back like if he was in a car fight lol

Our three youngest male cats didn’t get a cone at all. I was there during the OP, it was only one really small incision.

You are an excellent cat guardian, making sure he is safe and getting the care he needs is exactly the right thing to do. It’s also a good lesson for your children; how to be a responsible pet owner (aka servant).

Exactly! The children are learning, early on:

“Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.”

Not sure who said that originally but they must surely have been “employed” by at least one regal feline! Probably more.
