During my European road trip in August, I spent some time exploring Frankfurt with my camera.

What caught my attention was the contrast between the city's historic architecture, its modern skyline, and the peaceful atmosphere along the Main River.

Within a short walk, Frankfurt seemed to change its character completely. From colorful old-town streets to glass skyscrapers and quiet riverside paths.

Here are three photographs that captured those different sides of the city.

Heute soll es im Main-Taunus-Zentrum (MTZ) zu einem größeren Polizeieinsatz gekommen sein, nachdem offenbar eine Pfefferpistole eingesetzt wurde. Laut ersten Berichten wurden dabei fünf Menschen durch Reizgas verletzt.
Was mich mittlerweile wirklich beschäftigt, ist, dass man gefühlt immer häufiger von solchen Vorfällen hört. Ob bei Raubüberfällen, Streitigkeiten oder Bedrohungen – Pfefferpistolen, auch „Jets“ genannt, scheinen gerade unter Jugendlichen immer verbreiteter zu werden.
Erst vor Kurzem gab es in Frankfurt mehrere Raubüberfälle, bei denen ebenfalls Pfefferpistolen eingesetzt worden sein sollen.
Ich frage mich langsam, ob diese Waffen nicht viel zu leicht zugänglich sind. Einerseits kann ich verstehen, dass Menschen sie zur Selbstverteidigung besitzen möchten. Andererseits stellt sich die Frage, ob die Gefahren mittlerweile nicht überwiegen.
Mich würde interessieren, wie ihr das seht. Nehmt ihr auch wahr, dass Pfefferpistolen immer häufiger eingesetzt werden, oder bekommt man solche Vorfälle durch die Medien einfach stärker mit?
Sollte man den Verkauf und Besitz stärker regulieren oder solche Jets sogar komplett verbieten? Oder würde das eurer Meinung nach überhaupt nichts bringen?
Bin gespannt auf eure Meinungen.

Hi, ich bin Mitglied beim TC Europaviertel am Rebstockpark. Leider finde ich keine regelmäßigen Spielpartner, die Spielersuche in der Vereinsapp war auch nicht so ergiebig.

I was supposed to spend tonight at the youth hostel in Bacharach, but the whole castle has been booked for a private event this weekend, even so the web site show that there is still some room. So I've been left without a place to stay. I already have accommodation sorted for Saturday, but I have nowhere to sleep tonight . I'll be arriving in Frankfurt at 7 pm. Would anyone in or around Frankfurt, or in a nearby town easily reachable by train, be willing to host me for the night? I would say yes to anything that have a roof !

hi all :) i recently had my wisdom teeth removed and proactively bought a bunch of baby food and applesauce to sustain me for the first few days. i recovered super quick though so now i have way too much baby food for an adult with no babies in her household.

​For context, I've been to indoor clubs and raves before in Korea and the UK, but here in Frankfurt my experience has mostly been outdoor open-air events and MOMEM. I'm looking to explore the actual indoor club scene in the area.

​I’m hoping to get recommendations based on a few points:

​Door policy & vibe: I'm on the shorter side (161 cm) and in my early 30s. Are there places with notoriously selective bouncers regarding height, looks, or age, or are most spots relaxed as long as you're polite, sober enough, and decently dressed?

​Atmosphere: I'm not a dancer at all—mostly just want a place with good energy and music where you can grab a drink, people-watch, and enjoy the night without feeling pressured or out of place.

​Music: Open to house, techno, or general electronic/indie vibes. Not looking for K-pop clubs or overly flashy, aggressive commercial chart spots.

Wegen Arbeiten im Bereich der U-Bahn-Abstellanlage Römerstadt verkehren die U-Bahnlinien U1 und U9 von Montag, 19., circa 2 Uhr, bis Donnerstag, 22. Oktober, circa 3 Uhr, nicht wie gewohnt. Zwischen Nordwestzentrum und Ginnheim Mitte wird ein Schienenersatzverkehr (SEV) mit Bussen eingerichtet.

Laut allestörungen.de gibt es auch einen Anstieg der Beschwerden seit dem Zeitraum aber der Mitarbeiter beim Kundendienst hat erstmal auf unsere eigenen Leitungen verwiesen.
