I wanna quit
So I’m a stocker, it pays good, good hours, whatever but I do 5 jobs at once, maybe more. While I’m working, I get called up front to cashier, sack or go out on carts, then I get told to do ice cream and get called back up to the front again. Sometimes I help deli because they are short on people, sometimes I’m in dairy or on the grocery floor.
I’m tired of being relied on all the time, I, besides two other stockers who don’t get called up or get called to do anything, I’m tired of being the only one told what to do and with how much work.
This job is fine but besides that, mentally, I’m losing my shit. I’m working constantly and the work load is so unfair it’s unreal, I hate this job.

If you have a decent savings, take the gamble, do a two weeks notice so you get a little bit more money, have Ziprecruiter and Indeed on hand, and do a crapload of applications each day. Quit my job as a cook (worked as a cook for 10 years) in August. By late September, I got both a job as a Nighttime Custodian on Wednesday and Friday nights for a couple hours a week, and another gig as an Animal Caretaker Fridays through Sunday. Both pay decent. And I'm happy to finally have closed a chapter on my life that was misery for me. Don't listen to the hysteria about the job market. Life doesn't start til you take that risk. Again, though, I can't stress enough, make sure you have at least 5k in savings. At least.
