How do you cook it? How does it taste?

I've watched enough "survival" series on national geographic or something when I was young to know what it most probably tastes like chicken.

And you cook it over the fire.

Obviously over fire. I meant do you take off the bone, how long do you leave it there, how do you know if it's done, do you add anything to it, etc. HOW do you cook your squirrel?

I’m not the person you responded to, but in a non-camping situation, I find a slow cooker is best. The meat adheres quite tightly to the bone, to the point where it was a hassle if you roast them, and the slow cooker helped with that. Any spices you’d use for meat is fine. Salt, pepper, garlic powder. Unfortunately I don’t recall the amount of time to cook off the top of my head.
