Mom passed in July. We’re spreading the majority of her ashes in a couple spots that she requested (large urn) and keeping a small portion as a memento for the family (small urn). But both are getting festive for Halloween.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a wonderful memento. After my dad passed last year, we had some of his ashes incorporated into hand-blown glass. So my dad is now a glow in the dark glass ghost (his bday was halloween, so it's not completely random), and it makes me smile every time I look at it.

My grandmother died on October 11. Her funeral is on October 30, Inurnment on the 31st.

My cousin was asking if we're going with a Halloween theme. I figured we could make it a masquerade themed funeral at least.

I keep getting exotic cruise adverts in the mail for my dad who's passed away.

We did an around-the-house scavenger hunt over zoom for a Friendsgiving over COVID, and for "most expired item" I chose my wife's grandmother's urn. She would have absolutely loved it though.
