Karsi
Watching Hardhome (S5E8) one of the best episodes of the series IMO. I wish Karsi made it past this, she would have been a good character going forward. She just couldn’t get past those little children walkers.

The moment she looked at her kids and said, “I’ll be right behind you”, I knew she was cooked.

Yeah, that's just like a cop saying: "I'm only a few days away from retirement" in a crime movie/show.

I don't know, Roger Murtaugh said multiple times he'd retire and in Lethal Weapon 3 he had 6 days to retire...he survived to the 4th film

Just like a woman going to check out the strange sound down the hall in a slasher film. Lol

Underappreciated actress overall, she's awesome in Pitch Perfect 2. 2015 as a great year for her.

She was a great character, I was disappointed she wasn’t a permanent addition. But her death really sold the episode - it felt like a main character died without having to actually sacrifice a main character.
Did the showrunners ever confirm or deny if her two girls were Tormund’s daughters?

I’m unsure. Tormund is seen comforting them afterwards.

So yes, probably

The way she said that she trusted him seemed affectionate to me too. And her amused scoff when he said Jon Snow was prettier than both his daughters. I think those were Tormund’s girls.

she went toe-to-toe with literal wights for 15 minutes straight just to freeze up the second undead wight kids showed up on the docks

Seeing the tears in tormund eyes after seeing his people turn 😢

He’d set aside his pride to save them… and didn’t get there in time… thank goodness they got who they could.

I wish her children and Tormunds were brought up again. Like it’s a big deal that she wants her children to have better lives and they don’t get a scene of John trying to look after them or them being there as motivation for when trying to integrate wildlings south of the wall. Tormun mentions he has at least 2 daughters but even after half the wildlings die he doesn’t seem upset that he lost family but he also never mentions hanging out with them in the aftermath.

I mean those were her children that she tried to put on a boat first to get them to safety lol

This isn’t true at all. She was clearly killed by children that were long dead at that point.
The Night King didn’t raise the dead until Jon and co. were already sailing away.

Nah I remember exactly what I saw. She was putting up quite the fight against the wights, but once she saw her actual children reanimated, she threw her weapons and gave up

It was just the shock of seeing dead children. Those weren’t her kids. I’m pretty sure we even see them the next episode.

I just looked it up. 25:48 minutes left into the episode she says goodbye, 13:44 a group of children approach her and one of them looked like her daughter

I also just looked it up. We see them literally the next episode, marching to the Wall with the Nights Watch. 1000% those dead children weren’t hers.
Not even to remention the point that the Night King didn’t reanimate the corpses of those killed until after the fighting was over and Karsi was already dead.

Okay I concede. You guys are right, I think Tormund even comforts them next episode

u/Killpop582014 2d ago
To be fair, they do look similar! I’m sure they could be children she knew once.

u/EpiphanaeaSedai 2d ago
I mean, those kids weren’t the two kids she put in the boat. Doesn’t mean none of them were hers.

u/Killpop582014 2d ago
I’m watching it right now. None of the wildlings there become walkers until Jon is safely on the small boat going back to the large boat. Couldn’t he her children. Night king raises his arms to reanimate them after Karsi is dead.

u/Killpop582014 2d ago
She’d already put them on the boats. But probably children she knew. Or did she have other children? Possible

u/glittersexsparkle 2d ago
I agree. I think she just refused to fight children and it was all too much at that point. I'm pretty sure her children made it

Absolutly one of the worst episodes of the series. Nothing is less interesting than fast zombies.

u/Killpop582014 1d ago
You’re probably one of the only people who think that. Lol you want slow zombies you can just walk past? Thats boring. It was exciting in 1990.
