Yo remaining yandex trolls, this is a great time to apply for that work hazard bonus, get those rubles while you still can! Keep an ear out, carry a mask, train running and if you don't get squished by a building you might run away in time!

3

u/Worldly-Cherry9631 3d ago

You don't actually think the troll legions physically work from there, right?

0

u/Thefar 1d ago

They work there. In bits and bytes. Some of them more bits now.

2

u/Worldly-Cherry9631 1d ago

Hehe lot's of byting the dust

2

u/Aulawabe 1d ago

You really think a troll farm looks like an Indian Call Center 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

u/Wyciorek 4d ago

I love Russian bingo cards. Only six more, so maybe afterwards another visit to Wildberries or Ozon? They might be feeling neglected

10

u/IllustriousBig7553 4d ago

Wildberries and Ozon probably use Yandex DC for their e-commerce and banking operations.

5

u/Last_Cod_998 4d ago

How muchndark money was wiped out? I hope the Epstein class is feeling this.

4

u/IllustriousBig7553 4d ago

I hope Putin kept all his compromising files on Western politicians on Yandex cloud

3

u/Fun_Researcher_69420 4d ago

He seems evil, but not stupid, stupid would be not having backups offline.

2

u/Shatophiliac 4d ago

He’s def not stupid but hes a dictator, he just has a bunch of random Yes Men who do everything for him, and as dictators oftentimes find out, just because someone is a Yes Man doesn’t mean they know wtf they are doing lol.

3

u/Fun_Researcher_69420 4d ago

Yeah I think there’s lots of historical examples of extremely authoritarian dictators killing off or banishing anyone who knows what’s actually going on and dares to tell them the truth, and how that works out. Let’s hope.

5

u/fastbikkel 4d ago

But there are way more datacenters than Yandex. Jake Broe showed this.

5

u/ElasticLama 4d ago

Yes. But hitting one group is actually super important. Often multiple DCs will be clustered to provide redundancy, hitting multiple of them will take that out

1

u/PsychologicalPin3042 1d ago

1

u/Wyciorek 1d ago

Lol, vatniks can't afford a translator anymore. Go bark at dogs or something

1

u/PsychologicalPin3042 1d ago

Когда оппоненту нечего ответить, то они предпочитают обсудить меня, мой язык, что угодно, но только не отвечать на неудобный для них вопрос. Но я его повторю-как с тобой согласятся жители Киева, срущие в пакеты и ночующие в метро?

UKRAINE has been an independent sovereign nation since 1991 but the Soviet-era versions of many geographic names stubbornly persist in international practice. The transliterations of the names of cities, regions and rivers from the Cyrillic alphabet into Latin are often mistakenly based on the Russian form of the name, not the Ukrainian; the most misspelled names are:

Archaic Soviet-era spelling Correct modern spelling
Chernigov Chernihiv
Chernobyl Chornobyl
Dnieper/Dnepr Dnipro
Kharkov Kharkiv
Kiev Kyiv
Lugansk Luhansk
Lvov/Lwow Lviv
Nikolaev/Nikolayev Mykolaiv
Odessa Odesa
Rovno Rivne
Ternopol Ternopil
the Ukraine Ukraine

Under the Russian empire and later the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), Russification was actively used as a tool to extinguish each constituent country’s national identity, culture and language. In light of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, including its illegal occupation of Crimea, we are once again experiencing Russification as a tactic that attempts to destabilize and delegitimize Ukraine. You will appreciate, we hope, how the use of Soviet-era placenames – rooted in the Russian language – is especially painful and unacceptable to the people of Ukraine.

Russians will find a way to adapt, but it will take them time. The strikes are well-timed, because it's midterms in the states.

1

u/2hurd 4d ago

Exactly, it's much more important to stop russian interference in the States, afd will follow along with it.

1

u/Proud3GenAthst 4d ago

Even if Democrats flip 10 senate seats (which is the highest possible, although improbable number), it will remain a longshot they’ll be able to do much of anything.

Even if they somehow convince give or take 25% of Republicans to go against Trump because he’s a poison to their brand now, it’s a longshot anyone will be able to enforce anti-Russia bills. Or even if he’s removed from office.

You underestimate how much many Germans are sick of crime rates pushed by specific immigrants, don't need Russian bots for that

20

u/syanxde 4d ago

Russia causes migration in Africa and funds far-right anti-immigration parties in order to destabilize democracies in Europe. the bots are there to amplify anti-EU, anti-NATO, etc. sentiments

1

u/No_Bluebird9028 4d ago

A... so Putin dressed up as Merkel then?

6

u/PickingPies 4d ago

Which specific immigrants? Those whose crimes greatly increase the year before elections and then suddenly disappear?

10

u/G3DR4 4d ago edited 4d ago

Every available statistic contradicts your cheap propaganda. Germany/Europe is safer than it was decades ago.

And that´s exactly why the rightwing cult depends heavily on the millions of bots flooding the internet with their lies every day. It creates a parallel universe for their simple minded followers to permanently live in and isolate themselves from the real world.

But you already knew that of course..

Feeling safe is a perception...being safe an entirely different matter. The fact is that we ARE safer today but many are FEELING more unsafe. And why is that? Can it be that someone with an agenda is formenting these feelings.

2

u/notahuman97 4d ago

Im German and The actual germans are in the majority saying that they feel safe enough To NOT vote the afd.
The funny thing is that the afd has the most success in the states where there are the least immigrants.

And bro, even the state broadcastings talked a LOT about it and even Invited the AFD for that matter. The afd already talks about "remigration" openly in their campaigns. Just because you get a lot of criticism doesnt mean you get censored.

Another funny thing is that the statistics are very distorted. A big part of the immigrants are young, poor, and...Men.
Did u ask a woman back then how she felt during the night? I did and they said no, because the possibilty of seeing an abusive MAN was ALWAYS there. They are afraid of men and not of any group of them. But everytime I tell that someone (as a man myself) it gets down played.
That leads to another interesting statistics: women, the ones the right wings want "to protect from the immigrant" tend to vote more for the leftwing parties than the right wing ones.

So the summary is: the states with the least immigrants and gender that has the least possibilty of any danger during the night voted for the afd.
On the other side the ones who are more affected of crime and immigration tend to vote rather in the opposite direction.

1

u/[deleted] 4d ago

2

u/notahuman97 4d ago

You didnt need to write that with that content. What a waste of time.
You should rather invest your time in extinsive reading about a topic u want to talk to instead of speaking with germans of your echo chamber. An AfD Facebook or Telegram group is not Germany.

First: Russia is a much bigger threat than islamic immigration. Not to say islamic immigration is not a threat; just that Russia is orders of magnitude larger.

Second: IF you only accept AfD because of immigration, you should look more to the center and try to push those parties into going against immigration. It can be done, the conversation is shifting as we speak, unchecked immigration is seen as a threat and there are centrist governments doing something about it (Denmark for example).

I understand where you’re coming from. Dismissing people’s concerns using cherrypicked statistics is some bullshit. But going full Putin simp is not the way to go.

The funny thing is that these are data centers owned by a private company, Yandex, not by state-owned companies like Rostelecom, where it’s actually necessary to maintain state infrastructure. Simply because of the outage, ordinary citizens who use Yandex services will feel it (more noise in the information space) than if state services were to go down (in theory, a more valuable target, but less hype).

----------
Yes, my profile still looks like a bot’s.

1

u/EndAngle 3d ago

The state owned vs privately owned logic does not apply to russia, you understand that, right?

1

u/AnVlad99 3d ago

I guess you are not familiar how russuia stoled the Yandex (same as vk)

1

u/Appropriate-Camera68 3d ago

Squeezing out a business is not the same as using it as a public service. I'm just saying that HYPE is more important for Ukraine than actually doing something.

1

u/Typical_Claim3932 3d ago

In Russia, there’s no such thing as a “private company” because they have the same system as in China. If the government needs something from you, you’ll do it. If not, they’ll get rid of you and put someone else in your place. All major IT companies in Russia operate in the interests of the Russian government. There’s nothing you can do if they come to you and ask, for example, to host 100,000,000 bots on your servers or to train AI needed by the Russian government—for instance, for round-the-clock propaganda. And they don’t do this for free. The Russian government gives money to Yandex to expand its reach. That’s why Yandex services are so cheap in Russia compared to similar services in other countries. They’ve managed to drive out all their competitors. This includes food delivery, taxis, social media, cloud storage, and other services that exist in other countries. The only areas where they haven’t yet managed to drive out competitors are YouTube and Telegram. There are Russian equivalents, but because these alternatives don’t work well, people still use both YouTube and Telegram. However, in the case of Telegram, the problem is that it has many bugs, and Russian intelligence agencies monitor citizens’ correspondence—something that some people do not like.

I am afraid Ukraine's successes hurting some Americans so much that they've decided to ban Ukraine from carrying out further strikes? Right after the attacks Musk very openly voiced opposition, an "energy deal" suddenly emerged, intel sharing was suspended... I’m afraid Ukraine is being blackmailed now.

2

u/syanxde 3d ago edited 3d ago

absolutely wild that the US president is aiding Russia in murdering European civilians

0

u/Adorable-Celery2910 3d ago

Maybe its for the best, maybe the US and Russia can cut a deal now.

Its a pointless war, and we al know that Ukraine wants the NAVO involved.

Dragging whole Europe into WW3. Hard pass from a Dutch Citizen.

1

u/Original-Kick3985 3d ago

I see your point but I still want to chime in with my point of veiw:

It’s not pointless. Ukraine did not choose to have a war in their country. They themselves are probably not the reason Russia invaded. If we try to see the bigger picture it might suggest NATO and western powers is the main reason this war started. And it does not take away the fact that Russia started it.

Why should Ukraine be the only ones paying with their lives when Russia is openly threatening the whole of europe? Ukraine has their own set of problems but every damn country has them too to some extent. What would your country do if Russia invaded tomorrow? With europe’s poor stance on the war so far I can only imagine you would be left to deal with this on your own.

This is the problem I see. Europe’s unwillingness to take a stance, stand with Ukraine and send troops to aid. If that means WW3 then it’s unaviodable either way.

1

u/SnooHesitations9295 10h ago

Yeah, we remember your Jew hunting antics in WW2.

In Ukraine, there are local data centers run by private companies that host internet service providers, website hosting services, and a few VPS servers. There are very few of them. Just a few. That’s because everyone buys capacity from OVH or German data centers anyway. It’s at least safer that way. Since Ukraine has been facing power supply issues since 2023, and it’s impossible to maintain a large data center under wartime conditions

And we didn't strike anything on russian territory for the last two days. I'm worried

are we gonna ignore the fact that other countries probably have these also? we are turning a blind eye if we are gonna act like western countries dont have ts.

Russians targeted critical communications infrastructure all across Europe long before Ukrainians struck Yandex. They are just starting to get a taste of their own medicine now.

Im read my comment to see if I said something rude to deserve all these downvotes lol. where did I say that russia didnt deserve this? the only thing Im saying is that Europe probably have these data centers also, but somehow ppl are okay with it bc we are the good guys lol. these data centers are brainwashing their own ppl btw

Yes, right, that will definitely bring them victory. Those data centers won't be able to invade them anymore. Just don't accidentally hit the Kremlin or Barvikha or some other Putins or other commanders staff residences when they're there, concentrate on that murderous civilian infrastructure.

Wish to see Zelensky and Putin hanging at the same gallows together just as they're destroying their countries together now.

Your home is smarter than you if you are using their services

u/Educational_Ebb7838 4d ago

Do you think we got a choice? Yandex is a monopoly, there is no alternatives

2

u/NoSection8719 4d ago

Yes, we do have a choice, local home assistant server, for example

0

u/Educational_Ebb7838 4d ago

1

u/NoSection8719 4d ago

Да вроде яндексовые пылесосы, если такие и есть, не особо популярны. Мне кажется китайские по типу Xiaomi более распространены.
