Discussion Looking at this map, does Russia feel like a continent of its own, or is Asia simply that BIG?

I assume that there is more to something being a continent than if it "feels" like it.

It's because you don't understand the idea of what make a continent. It have to obey some criteria, nowadays we view as a cultural/civilization separation between Europe and Asia, as no body of water devide them.

However some people understand that Europe, is just a region of Eurasia. And that make much more sense. Because you have many civilizations in Asia (middle east, central asia, indian subcontinent, southeast asia, extreme orient, siberia)

Continents are as real as the aether. I'm a continent your a continent. If we all decided Madagascar is a continent it could be a continent. 5, 6 or 7, any number of continent model is just as valid as any other. Continents are only real in your mind.

Continental are real in your mind. But what's real in continents? A dirty diaper.
