Extensions Vitals Widget - Bring system monitoring directly onto your GNOME desktop

Post image

I wanted to share a desktop extension I've been developing called Vitals Widget.

If you prefer keeping your top bar clutter-free, vitals widget moves system monitoring out of the panel and places customizable, clean circular progress rings and metrics directly onto your desktop.

We just released v8, featuring support for modern GNOME Shell versions (GNOME 45 through 51).

You can position the widget anywhere on screen using precise percentage controls, adjust orientation (horizontal/vertical), font sizes, and container background/padding.

I’d love for you to give it a try and share any feedback.

Wow, I can't believe I'm saying this but there's finally a project post that wasn't written by AI

I may be wrong, but looking at the code, this appears hand written
