One of my shoes had an imperfection so I went to a mom and Pop leather store to try to darken both of them so it would be less noticeable, but now one of them is splotchy with dark streaks and the other looks blended and great. They said this was the best they can do, but I’m wondering why it looks this way and if I could be fixed? Thanks for your thoughts.

Got my first pair of boots with dainite soles and after few months I notice the heel is wearing faster on the outside edge. Not terrible yet but wondering if I should get a cobbler to add a rubber top lift now or just wait until it's more worn down. Don't want to damage the heel block itself by waiting too long, you know?

you’re just noticing the wear or did you actually wear through almost an entire dainite toplift in just a few months? because if it’s the former then it’s a non issue and if it’s the latter then that’s what a toplift is for; to be replaced when needed.

Are there any retailers for Red Wing Pecos? I really like ropers but am struggling to find any that are subtle like these and Red Wing only offers 1 specific color right now.

I’m also open to alternatives
