Horror Ordered last night, picked up today.
The Nice House on the Lake: The Deluxe Edition
Tynion is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers. Loved what I’ve read of SiKtC. Started Department of Truth last night, and was immediately hooked, and I’ll be firing up this bad boy after DoT or in between some of my other pickups from the last month 🫶🏻

This is an awesome comic, though it's SO bleak. Really affected me - was thinking about it for days afterwards. This looks like a really nice edition.

Oh, I love shit like that. Really happy I pulled the trigger on this. Was buying my wife something for Mother’s Day and was like “let me get another one” lol I hope it hits me as hard as it did you! Thanks! 🫶🏻

Thanks! I’m expecting to love this, and then I’ll wait till that HC comes out and wait for that and DoT Vol. 2 HC to drop in price ahha 🫶🏻

Honestly one of my favorite comics I’ve ever read. The sequel is rad too. Can’t wait for it to come back!
If you like this one check out WOrldtr33… not as good, but it is weird and entertaining from what I’ve read

Same on hearing good to great things about this title. Was going to read it a few months ago, but started SiKtC instead. happy either way. Got this for under $30 on amazon, so if you’re going to buy it, I’d recommend that. It’s a beauty.

I’m reading this currently. Tynion great at sci fi horror comics, much better than he is with superhero comics.

Yeah, I’ve heard his Batman is just ok. I’m not really buying DC/Marvel anyway unless it’s a great deal. I have their digital apps cause I still love them, but their (at least marvel) omnis and such are just way too pricey

Hate I got first edition with “Black Label” emblem instead of Vertigo 🤦🏻♂️

I had no idea they even went back and changed Black Label to Vertigo till yesterday! haha
still can’t believe DC dissolved Vertigo to begin with.

Eh, I thought it’d be better honestly after all the hype on here. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it felt more like a drama with a horror wrapper.

I really liked the first issue, but then it just didn't go anywhere, and in the end they decide to continue what was announced as a self-contained story. I was very disappointed with it.
