So I’m assuming these are all digital copies and not actual copies?

Yes. They're DRM Free redeemable on the app/website Neon Ichiban where you can buy other digital comics.

They do them fairly often lately and they are great values if you're not turned off by digital reading. It's a good way to try things out at a much lower price than blind buying physical books can be, for certain. If you are interested in buying them be sure to read how they can be redeemed. For example the Fantagraphics bundle below is all PDF (can easily be converted to CBR or CBZ), but the Batman Bundle is reedemable only on Global Comix.

Fantagraphics Bundle

Batman Bundle

Astro City

IDW Horror Bundle

Maybe it's not for you at all, but the value on the Fantagraphics and Astro City Bundles is insane, and the Batman one too really but the Global Comix thing is a bit of a turnoff for me and I've read all the comics in it already.

Value wise it’s definitely incredible. I heard or read somewhere that reading an actual paperback is better than reading anything on a screen in terms of actually remembering and comprehending things. Whether that’s true or not I don’t know, but my ass has a hard time focusing on an actual book so I don’t like to take the risk. Plus I feel like I’d just forget I have it if it’s not a book by my night stand.

Yeah, I used to be strictly physical. There's certainly an appeal to holding a book in your hand or seeing a book you love on your shelf, but I just couldn't really keep up with the hobby at the pace I read. I stopped reading altogether for a while for mostly unrelated reasons but coming back and leaning into to digital hasn't been bad. I still get books from the library and will occasionally buy one, but i'm mostly digital now.

Oooo what reader do you use for comic books?

I use Chewy on my iPad and YACreader for PC. I don’t really read on phone much but if I want to I use Panels.

How is the quality in the Astro City Bundle? I know there have been some issues with Image bundles recently. The Image 20s one had a few trades that were hard to read with my old eyes. I've heard fantastic things about that series though, so I'm interested in checking it out.

I haven’t grabbed it yet to speak to the file quality.

Yes, digital, but redeemed through a third party app.

Off-topic, but does anyone know if The Blood Brother's Mother hardcover is ever coming out? The only book of theirs I've been interested in since the launch, and it's been delayed multiple times and seems to have disappeared altogether from most places. I know the Diamond bankruptcy screwed them over, but they're back to publishing new issues it seems, so I hoped they'd finally release it at some point this year.

Bunch of announced hardcovers of theirs got changed to paperbacks earlier in the year, assuming some got cancelled as well

Damn. Just looked at their website and see the TPBs for some titles now. Hopefully they'll at least release Blood Brothers in that format. Thank you!
