Amp Footswitch

Do people permanently install their amp footswitch onto their pedalboard? Yes/no? Pros/Cons etc?

Yes if I use the footswitch regularly. No if I don't.

Pros, I can use it alongside my pedals. Cons, it takes up pedalboard space.

Pretty low effort questions there dude.

I was getting an inconsistent tremolo-esque sound coming through my Vox AC30 and it went away when I plugged the amp footswitch in. I don't use it. It just sits on top of my amp because that's the length of the TRS cable I could find.

Yes?/No?

Kinda answered your own question there LOL.

Pretty much depends on your amp though. The pros and cons are that some amps have useful channel switchers and others don't. I have one amp where the distortion channel is too much louder than the clean channel that the foot switch is useless. I have another amp where the two channels have independent volumes but shared EQ controls that don't really match each other. I have to put an EQ pedal in the effects loop and step on the channel switch and loop switch at the same time so they sound good together.

Maybe I should get better amps...

I don't because my Peavey has a built in cable so I don't want that coiled up on my pedalboard when lugging it around

Bro........do whatever you want, it's your setup. If I tell you I do, are you going to do it? If I tell you I don't, are you not doing it then?

Every board I see, people have their wah and/or expression pedal on it. I don't, they're in front of my board.

Just live your life, experiment with everything, just do you

So I guess let’s just shut down this sub because there is no reason to discuss or throw around any ideas of any kind..
