Remember, he was implicated in an offshore money scandal.

He’s a shady bastard.

I thought that would have been enough to stop people voting for him

It fell out of memory. They count on this.

It’s even more boring than that.

The other parties are a smoking wreck right now.

He has power becuase there is genuinely no one around to stop him.

I mean being a politician implicated in an offshore money scandal is unfortunately not that uncommon these days.

they voted for him because McNeil and the NDP were so bad.

He wasn't "implicated" in anything.

I corrected myself elsewhere in this same thread, thanks.

The sad thing is that its basically too late it feels like, construction has already started: https://www.instagram.com/brettruskin/reel/DejtNi6xkbI/

Lmao, no he wasn't. He was the registered director of several holding corporations in Bermuda, where he lived. Literally anybody can do that for the cost of a few hundred dollars.

How are people so outraged and simultaneously so ill-informed? The confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance on this reddit since this announcement is approaching critical levels of psychosis.

Sorry, not implicated - but listed as a VP for a bunch of companies that were.

Still don’t believe he was unaware. He just didn’t get caught.

Still, listed as VP of companies that were in a massive data dump with little to no filtering means someone was VP of a few off shore shell companies. Which isn't at all unusual if you are a professional accountant working in places that has offshore shell companies.

Without any particular allegation, what you are saying is that anyone involved in international finance, even doing mid-level professional services, is just inherently scandalous.

The left does not need proof to slag anyone not aligned with their twisted views.
