Do you prefer playing your handpan alone or with others?

It would be interesting to hear which one the handpan community enjoys more. There’s something very different about getting lost in your own playing and finding a rhythm together with someone else.

Very different.
I like both.
Playing alone is a good way for me to learn complex pattern and also just getting in a flow state to calm down after a stressful day.

Playing with others instead is really cool to synchonrize with others in terms of hamrony and tact and to expierment with known patterns or improvise.

We hat also the chance to play with 12 people inside a church and it was a great experience.

I have a Dkurd 432hz and totally prefer to play alone

The majority of folks play at 440Hz so it would sound slightly off anyway.

I perform with a trio of handpan cello and voice. I love playing with the group. We have been playing together for a while and it feels familiar and rewarding.

Depends on the mood

Both are good and very different. In a group of more than 4 (beginner-ish to intermediate level) it starts to get a bit complicated - the peace needs to be orchestrated and learned in advance by everybody. A group of 3 is perfect - each one can have different role, switch between roles, sync easier and improvise freely even on new material.
