AUS here, moved to the NL just as the final Qlimax was announced. After years of going to HS events back home, I’d gradually fallen out of love with the scene as everything became increasingly raw-focused.
I ended up going to Qlimax with someone from this group, both of us going solo, and honestly, it reminded me of everything I loved about the music in the first place. There was just something about Qlimax that brought everyone together, and I’ve never quite found that same feeling at another event. I still think about the people I met that night and the connections I made more often than you’d expect.
Some people come into your life at just the right time, and the impact they have on you stays with you long after the night itself. I really miss Qlimax.

Qlimax was the first event I travelled to NL for (from Australia)! I think that was 2011. Amazing time. I only thought about it randomly the other day.
That being said, I also went to the "final" Thunderdome in 2012... It came back. So it's not like it's not a possibility for qlimax to return!

i have a very little hope that the q guys saw what a event in the gelredome means for the scene.
i think its very needed, but they clearly said no qlimax in the gelredome will happen again so chance is below 1%

They couldnt care less what theyve Said in the Past. They saw hard bass was sold out. Its all about the money

part of the problem is that even a sold out qlimax isnt worth sooo much, money wise.

Yes, but Profit is Profit. Think they May will doch a Special Edition every few years

It needs to be enough profit to justify the effort and headache though.
Would you work for 1 hour for 5 euros pay? You'd technically make a profit as you'll be 5 euros richer at the end of that.
Is it worth it? Probably not..

No. But q dance Made Profit and everybody in the Project of qlimax was getting paid. So yes it would make sense!

I'm not doubting that they made a profit each time (haven't seen any actual figures), but the fact they stopped likely means that the profit they were making was not good enough to justify the effort.
They could've invested that time and money into a project with a higher return on investment (Defqon).
They might still do it in the future, but it would most likely happen either as a fan service, or as part of a marketing strategy to attract / lure back people to its flagship event where the real money is made.

It qlimax came back I would actually cry first euro event I went to and it was the most magical/memorable best night of my life I’ll be forever grateful of experiencing it I would pay like £150 for a ticket and I think most people would pay £100 just to experience it again

I think it’ll be back sooner than we think. It’s just a matter of figuring out what Qlimax needs to be in order to exist in the current market of Hardstyle. Once that fits, it’ll re-emerge
