Have had these Crusher Evos for years and they are my favorite headphones by far. Of course I had to drop them, and now they refuse to connect.
They were gifted to me years ago, but I'll do anything to get them up and running again.
When plugged in, music can only be heard on the right side, but both haptic drivers thump away. "Power on" still plays through both speakers, but it no longer says "pairing," nor does it appear in any bluetooth menu.
I took them apart but see nothing abnormal or disconnected. I'm thinking it's an issue with the motherboard itself. Any ideas?

Anyone knows where to buy (I'm in Europe) JLab Rewind² foam pads? I've bought online some "compatible" ones but I don't like them because they are bigger than the original ones. I want them to fit RIGHT. Thanks!

Hey I have Heavy’s headphones and they have Screaming For Vengeance Judas Priest shells that aren’t available in the US! Does anybody have a pair they are willing to sell or know how I can ship it to the US?

If your Cleer Enduro ANC ear pads are peeling, flaking or falling apart, this video shows you how I replaced them without buying new headphones.
In this step-by-step guide I:
• Remove the original ear pads
• Reuse the original plastic mounting frame
• Install replacement cushions
• Show the finished result
My headphones were still working perfectly, so replacing the pads was much cheaper than replacing the headphones.
If this video helped you, please consider liking the video and subscribing. It helps other Cleer Enduro ANC owners find this repair.

My vintage k240s broke with the cable being mess up right where it plugs into the earpiece and it has to be in a specific place for the sound to work. Are there people out there that are good with this older niche tech that can fix/refurb it? Can you send headphones to custom cans?

The pads are the same identical ones which were a bit coarse when new but 2 mins of soaking in soap water and drying them softened them somewhat.
Alas both cables are fixed and on ear. My main gripes. These pads make them comfy.
The garden-hose Grado Cables are heavy and rubbery. The bright and energetic treble profile can be tamed with my old trusted iFi Micro iDSD Black Label dac amp.
And the Yamaha monitor headphones scale very well with Peace Equalizer. This is a vintage piece of gear!
Both are light and enjoyable for short listening sessions and not expensive!
Cheers!

It’s been a minute! I’ve been browsing /r/headphones again after a 2 year hiatus and a lot has changed… but somehow is exactly the same.
Prior to my break, I had been running a successful headphone modding business - some of you probably remember! It ran for about 5 years, and then life happened. 2 kids - the second one disabled from birth - plus some good / bad / ugly at work meant I had 0 time for anything recreational.
2 years later and my daughter is in a better spot, and I’ve moved positions to something more relaxed on a day-to-day, so I’m using that time to get back into what I actually enjoy. Which includes running a small business apparently!
I mod all types of headphones, but focus on Beyerdynamics - 770, 880, 990, 1990, 900 pro X, etc to detach the cable and / or allow use of balanced cables. Most commonly it’s people who want to use any cable rather than the permanent, janky stock cable, but I do all sorts of fun projects that people bring to me. Always open for the chat. I won’t link my store page here cause it’s probably against this sub’s rules, but it’s easy to find if you’re interested.
I’ve also been using the same headphones and amp daily for the past 2 years - the Beyerdynamic T1 Gen 2 and JDS Labs Element 2. Who’s got recommendations on what headphones and amps I should catch up on?

I guess it's better to ask here too. Any opinions, are these repairable or wasted?

Hi everyone!
I recently bought a used JBL Quantum 910 Wireless headset.
The microphone mute button was physically stuck inside the headset, so I decided to disassemble the left earcup to fix it.
I managed to open the headset and access the internal circuit board. The good news is that both the microphone mute and ANC buttons work correctly when the board is outside its mounting position.
However, I'm having a really hard time putting the board back into its original position.
When I reassemble everything, the buttons become misaligned and stop working properly.
The headset itself works perfectly fine, including the audio and microphone. The only issue is the physical alignment of the ANC and mute buttons.
I've spent several hours trying to fix this, but I couldn't find any service manual, teardown guide, or video showing how to properly reinstall this board.
Has anyone disassembled a JBL Quantum 910 before?
I'm specifically looking for:
I've attached pictures of the internal components.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to damage this headset while trying to fix two buttons.
Thanks!
