I recently got a blank stars mooterus but then I saw this and it confused me
It says “authentic on ice game jersey” is that saying its game worn (which wouldn’t make sense cuz it’s blank) or is it similar to the FAP that we have now
For authentics from that era, game worns don’t even have any brand tag in the neck area; all you see is the size tag. “Game jersey” just refers to the quality level; that is, the same as those used in pro games.
You will see tons of CCM authentics with the shoulder patches, although they technically should not have come from the factory like that, and they certainly weren’t worn on-ice during the CCM era. I have not been able to figure out whether someone (like the team store) just added the patches to the leftover CCM stock to update them to look more like the newer (1996/97 and later) Nike models.
How can you tell? I don’t know anything abiut jerseys but I have 4 of these Reebok CCM made in Canada ones. I’ve tried to research but I keep getting mixed results.
Is there anyone recommended for jersey stripping these days? I’ve got a Fanatics Red Wings Veleno premium that I want to turn into a DeBrincat, but both EPS and Liberty Bell have put a pause on their stripping services. I know about Mondo in Arizona, is he basically the only game in town now?
Whelp you’d only be stripping off the 0’s and the nameplate on a jersey that more than likely doesn’t have any adhesive under the numbers.. it actually can’t get much easier than that.
I was nervous on my first strip of an Edge 2.0 customized by EPS and it came out fine. Follow the steps in the LBJ link and save yourself money while learning a useful skill in the hobby.

Since it came from the store there’s no nameplate, all the letters are sewn on directly. That’s what makes me nervous, the margin for error is much higher.
If you wear a 56 Premium, I'd suggest a 54 FAP. They're roughly the same, except the arms will be wider and it's more of a boxy fit, rather than the bell cut of the Premium.
Legit replica but the shoulder patches were not on those specific jerseys back then so someone added those after the fact.
so it isnt era accurate if that matters to you. The customization looks good though
Normal multi-layer characters are made of different colored layers of tackle twill stitched to each other. For example, on a quality lettering job, the letters on the nameplate would have a white twill layer stitched onto an orange twill layer, and that unit would be stitched down to the nameplate. In this case though, each letter is just a single piece of white vinyl with the orange color just applied on top of the border area, and even the “stitches” visible on the white parts are fake- they are just printed lines.
Fanatics custom is some shitty third party company doing it. CBH Shop will be the same official customizer that the Blackhawks use for the on-ice jerseys.
The Nikes are box-cut, so I wouldn’t expect them to fit the same way even if you do get an equivalent size. A Nike 52 might be as close as you can get; the pit-to-pit should be about 27”, and it will likely be looser in the chest than the MiC 56, and baggier in the sleeves where they connect to the body. A Nike 50 might be closer, but that’s a rarely seen size that was usually team-issued. Retails seemed to skip a size from 48 to 52. I can’t really be sure about what you need, not knowing anything about your height/weight/build/fit preferences, but what I’ve said is just general advice that would work for a lot of people.
Thanks. I’m 6’3” and about 255 lbs. I generally wear XXL shirts but find the Fanatics Premium 56 to be snug across the chest, especially with a hoodie under it. I’d much prefer the jersey to be baggy. Does that help?
Edge 7187 (aka Edge 1.0), on-ice jersey for the first few months of the 2007/08 season. Continued to be the retail authentic from 2007-11, even though it was no longer worn on-ice for most of that period.
I really need help determining if this jersey is legit or not. The seller said it didn't have a jock tag but also didn't have a photo where the jock tag shows so I'm not sure
That’s a legit 2011 Winter Classic replica, which is not a Premier, and did not come with a jock tag. The same design jersey that was used in later seasons (starting 2011/12) is an alternate jersey, is a Premier (different cut and material), has the Reebok wordmark logo instead of the vector, and has the jock tag in front.
The one in the pictures is legit. The twill layers of the lettering kit are not stitched to each other, nor are the characters stitched down to the jersey, if that matters to you.
Legit 1.0; the tags are correct. Any jersey model introduced in the 2008/09 season and later (which includes all alternates, like this Sabres one) have retail neck tags with the wordmark logo.
Did I get the wrong material nameplate from customize sports for my Selanne jersey? I’m gonna reach out to them but I selected CCM air knit and it doesn’t look the same as my CuJo kit. Just wondering
It depends on what you mean by “wrong.” They sent you a twill nameplate, which is what was used on the original game jerseys, so in that respect it’s the most on-ice accurate. But if you specifically asked for airknit, then they didn’t give you what you asked for. Your jersey is not an ultrafil authentic original, it’s a reissued replica, which is already made of the “wrong” material (airknit). So if I were you, I probably would have asked for airknit as well, since it would match your jersey better. It would make little sense to worry about the airknit nameplate not being on-ice accurate, since the entire jersey is made of the wrong material anyway.
I know it’s a long shot, but will Habs heritage classic authentic pros possibly be re-stocked at some point? Looks like I’ve missed out if they won’t be.
