I do love the unsaid part where peter thinks so highly of hulk that he would believe our hulk would never stoop this low

u/Ira-jay Jul 08 '26

Bruh 616 hulk would go out of his way to tear this hulk apart until he can’t come back he is a fucking FIEND and very likely how he imagines people see him

1

u/mostlybored1234 Jul 14 '26

Ultimatea Hulk was a problem. He was the kind of stuff regular Hulk would tear apart and take a shower later

4

u/Conlannalnoc Joe Fixit Jul 10 '26

Way back around WW Hulk it was implied / confirmed that Hulk (not Banner) never killed anyone and that BANNER was the dangerous killer.

3

u/CafeCalentito Jul 11 '26

Which was ridiculous and didn't make sense considering Warlock picked Hulk and Wolverine to try to kill Thanos (And Hulk went for the kill almost everytime during PAD run, it just happened most of the villains ended up being immortals. Tho, he killed Maestro)

I can get the whole "Savage Hulk" never intentionally killed a civilian but there's too many examples of the other Hulks killing that Amadeu's theory ended up being ridiculous

That claim gets repeated in a Damage Control issue shortly after WWH and one of the agents says to another that they should just not think too hard about it

2

u/ShitpostSaber Jul 09 '26

Well they’re friends

"GOD IN HEAVEN!"

I don't know why, but his reaction just cracks me up. Lol

16

u/capsaicinintheeyes Jul 08 '26

It somehow out-Greatscots "Great Scott!"

6

u/p001b0y Jul 08 '26

You used to see “Mein lieber Gott im himmel!” reactions all the time in Captain America stories. It’s one of the few German phrases I’ve ever remembered.

Peter lucky he ain’t wasn’t there for ts

u/Head_Humor Jul 08 '26

Huh!?

59

u/FadeToBlackSun Jul 08 '26

Hulk in Ultimates isn't Banner's suppressed childhood or rage, he's the ID.

So he's much more horny, violent, etc...

32

u/Reddevil8884 Jul 08 '26

He is pretty much more like Mr. Hyde to his Mr. Jekyll. It reminds me A LOT to Hyde from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

3

u/Br1t1shNerd Jul 13 '26

Except Jekyll was totally in control of the Hyde persona the whole time.

5

u/Reddevil8884 Jul 13 '26

The same happened for a time in the Ultimate universe. Remember that Wolverine went looking for the Hulk and found him living like a king in Tibet with several sex maids? Banner decided to let Hulk take full control of his life accepting his nature and that way, he found "peace"

11

u/Head_Humor Jul 08 '26

Oh- tbh i do not remember him being any of those things😭

12

u/Zeroblazex Jul 08 '26

You don’t remember hulk being rage baited by being called gay? Ultimates 1 and 2 were a comic book of all time

6

u/OmegaReign78 Jul 09 '26

NGL though, I loved the shot of Cap kicking Hulk right in the junk.

EDIT : Pic was supposed to come first, with text after.

Yeah, no shit. I was posting the pic and then saying something about another panel. Would have made more sense if the pic posted before the text like I intended it to do.

Its been a long ass time since i last read books on the original ultimate universe

1

u/Hogabog217 Jul 09 '26

Theres so much interesting stuff u could do with that n they just decided to be gross about it : (

1

u/Heracross64 Jul 09 '26

ID?

2

u/FadeToBlackSun Jul 10 '26

It's a term from Freudian psychology that refers to our base impulses and desires that we tend to suppress or ignore.

1

u/Darth_Emerald Jul 21 '26

Not to mention the fact that Ultimate Hulk straight up eats people.

42

u/CommanderKahne Jul 08 '26

Mark Millar’s Ultimates. Man had some…ideas. That’s as polite as I can be.

10

u/VasM85 Jul 08 '26

So very unwholesome. Gives big sad and the ick

u/Poku115 Jul 08 '26

It is pretty fun to finally have someone with normal morals in the ultimate universe.

Everyone was disappointed in ultimate Hulk. It’s just that he’s a living nuke and very hard to kill, so SHIELD keeps using him as a weapon

2

u/Conlannalnoc Joe Fixit Jul 10 '26

Luckily most USM Characters had normal morals.

68

u/Status-Gur-7332 Jul 08 '26

Peter only saw the bare minimum of what that hulk does😂

23

u/gorlak29 Jul 08 '26

https://youtu.be/ZBXR3hdUETs?is=iLOB0frEftdnoLwy Hulk didn't know she was a cyborg, he wanted to tear her to pieces.

12

u/Status-Gur-7332 Jul 08 '26

I'm guessing Nick didn't tell Peter about the cannibalistic tendencies.

11

u/bobbledoggy Jul 08 '26

The inclusion of “(warning: Hot!)” in the title 🤔

8

u/VicFantastic Jul 08 '26

Yeah- I was wondering that myself

What's the fetish?

2

u/StevenGorefrost Jul 09 '26

Ever heard of guro? Probably something like that.

25

u/BobFredricson2 Jul 08 '26

It was very satisfying when 616 hulk mulched ultimate hulk

24

u/CT-4426 Jul 08 '26

That time Blue Marvel floored the fuck outta Ultimate Hulk was also satisfying asf

3

u/InevitableEnd1496 Jul 12 '26

Blue Marvel does not get enough love. One of the strongest in Marvel, but always sidelined.

3

u/awkward_teenager37 Jul 08 '26

What issue was that?

3

u/Conlannalnoc Joe Fixit Jul 10 '26

The 616 created a team called THE ULTIMATES back in 2015. Blue Marvel lead a team that would proactively solve problems like turning Galactus the devourer into Galactus, the Life Bringer (with a shiny new Gold / White paint job).

1

u/Glittering_Role_6154 Jul 11 '26

Didn't captain marvel lead it?

1

u/Conlannalnoc Joe Fixit Jul 11 '26

I know Photon was on the team but I don’t remember if Carol was.

2

u/Krazyfan1 Jul 11 '26

do you have a picture?

1

u/BobFredricson2 Jul 11 '26

Dopespill on YouTube covered it in full

43

u/pauleoinhurley Jul 08 '26

Christ, I hate Ultimate Hulk so much

He acts like what people in the 616 universe think Hulk is but worse.

7

u/Mega52101 Jul 08 '26

Haha brutal

6

u/masterionxxx Jul 08 '26

How powerscalers imagine the Hulk would act in every fight.

7

u/Ira-jay Jul 08 '26

I feel like ultimate hulk would traumatize most heroes in 616

10

u/Curious-Paramedic816 Jul 08 '26

This is really good stuff. Makes me wanna read the comic, coz this looks like the perfect way to do it - really make a BIIIIIG thing about how these people are awful, terrible people and critique the thing through Peter as an increasingly traumatised everyman.

6

u/Cautious-Patient-184 Jul 10 '26

What's both sad and funny is that in the Ultimate Spider-Man tie in comics to Ultimatum, Hulk is seen in a better light as he helps Spidey in saving lives.

2

u/Gold-Duck898 Jul 08 '26

Ngl I wanna buy this comic now.

2

u/ZoZoHaHa Jul 09 '26

God in heaven, guess we're in the 50's again

0

u/Glittering_Role_6154 Jul 11 '26

It's still a common expression, guy

2

u/ZoZoHaHa Jul 11 '26

Tru, everytime I take a fat shit I be yellin "GOD IN HEAVEN"

0

u/Glittering_Role_6154 Jul 11 '26

Ok? I've watched rvb so I day it from time to time. Notice that people vary?

2

u/ZoZoHaHa Jul 11 '26

That's cool, but it'd be really cool if you said it while taking a shit

1

u/Glittering_Role_6154 Jul 11 '26

probably did at some point

2

u/Own-Papaya-4264 Jul 11 '26

Is this out yet?

2

u/No-Picture-1067 The Big Guy Jul 11 '26

Yes, it is.

2

u/Calm_Interview4247 Jul 08 '26

bro got traumatized 😂😂😁😂🙄🥱😎😂

1

u/DaveDavidsen Jul 09 '26

Don't want people ripped in half? Dont piss him off.

1

u/MSP_4A_ROX Jul 12 '26

Who was snake-man?

-9

u/Connect-Review-3388 Jul 08 '26

Lol. 616 Grey Hulk was never nice and has done questionable amoral things.

7

u/DirtyOldTrucker68 Jul 08 '26

But nothing that savage.

-12

u/Nervous_Ad8656 Jul 08 '26

You can’t be serious, 616 isn’t much better.

9

u/Sweet-Conference4347 Jul 08 '26

Yes he is

0

u/Nervous_Ad8656 Jul 08 '26

I meant the 616 universe isn’t much better. Peter’s been through a lot in his career, should seeing a man get ripped in two real affect him this much?

8

u/Sweet-Conference4347 Jul 08 '26

Yeah, it would; he isn't numb to seeing a man getting literally ripped in two. Also, the main people who are doing violent killings in Marvel are the villains or extreme anti-heroes. Hulk is supposed to be a good guy, so yes, seeing someone you trust and worked with straight-up murder a man would be a shock.

0

u/Nicklenips837469420 Jul 09 '26

No, this just doesn’t track. He has to deal with people like carnage and green goblin who mutilate people for fun, and the lizard who eats people. Although he’s less jaded than people like Logan or the punisher he doesn’t always get to just fight a goofy villain of the week

-12

u/gorlak29 Jul 08 '26

Nah, 616 Hulk would absolutly do that. Just look what he did to that thief in Inmortal Hulk #1.

14

u/No-Picture-1067 The Big Guy Jul 08 '26

It was Devil Hulk personality. And he didn't even kill him tearing the guy apart, he just left him in coma.
