General I want Marvel to give Hulk and Sam more interactions given Hulk's time with Jim.

So I ended up going through the Onslaught stuff for something or other and I forgot how much respect Sam had for Hulk being their for Sam's nephew (though Hulk kinda lost that trust during a failed shot at Onslaught, where Onslaught made Sam, Clint, Vision, and Crystal think they died and was toying with them and Hulk). Then I remembered the What If episode where Hulk turns into a Kaiju and the friendship between him and Sam.

Then I started thinking, why haven't there been that many interactions between the two? I kinda want to see some chill moments and team-ups between the two. Maybe Hulk and Sam visit Jim's grave every now and again, maybe Sam and his brother Gideon invite Hulk/Bruce for a family dinner from time to time (that is if Gideon forgives Hulk from getting rid of his gamma powers).

I dunno, what do you guys think?

You're absolutely right. As a Black Hulk fan, Jim's death actually broke me. I cried. Seeing Sam give him props helped, but I hate how Marvel just forgets these character beats. The deeper complex relationships are just tossed aside.

Heck, Marvel doesn't even acknowledge Gideon as a character anymore. They just hyperfocus on Sarah and Sam. They don't mention Jim at all, either, and Sam and the Hulk have the same relationship as the Hulk basically has with most characters; awkward and full of tension.

Marvel dropped the ball. I would've loved during the Brave New World rollout to get a one-shot with them going over their shared history with Jim, Gideon, and reconnecting.

I wish Marvel would do this.

You said it man - the depth of characterization by PAD is a high point of this title and the MCU has no interest or ability to tell complex stories. Comics lean into pathos.

Eh Hulk was asked by S.H.I.E.L.D to deal with an A.I.M. weapon if I remember correctly. The weapon turned out to be a gamma bomb, it hit Hlk point blank and drove him crazy and turned him grey temporarily. The Thing and Torch were called to handle him, the fight ended up traveling to Vegas. During the time Hulk was losing his mind, certain memories were passing by his mind. As you see the Hulk walks into a hospital, looks into a room, sees a guy that reminds him of Jim, and thinks he's Jim.
