Audit all the senators and congress and house. Anyone who has stocks, or shares, or anything financial tied to their donor pool. They all have insider trading info and it's bullshit. Both parties do it. Audit them all. The tax payers are the only ones that have to play by the rules. Holding a public office should not make you rich. That's a problem and a clear conflict of interest. The people that hold a seat for 30 years and consistently back the same agendas that clearly benefit their donors are defeating the purpose of being a public servant.

Contrary to the meme's premise, a 2022 House Ways and Means Committee investigation revealed that the IRS failed to perform the required annual audits during Trump’s first two years in office (2017 and 2018). The IRS only initiated an audit on April 3, 2019 the exact same day House leadership formally requested his tax records.

He didn't HAVE to. He chose to in order to prevent even the slightest look that he might be corrupt.

TACO always had problem with IRS. every year IRS flagging something for President doesn't look good. He has long list of IRS dispute, penalty, and criminally charged.

The 21 articles of impeachment will mean our system of checks and balances is still operational albeit a bit sleepy lately. Congress could fix a lot of this by passing laws to limit presidential powers but they won’t…

u/Green-Inkling 22h ago
He should not be given a choice. Every income he gets, from presidental wages to political bribes, will be forcefully taxed.

You mean to tell me the guy that fired the bipartisan oversite committee in charge of making sure the 1.2 TRILLION PPP loans of tax payer money was handed out to those who needed it in his first term doesn't like oversite? Idk, I think we should give him another chance to steal more from us just to make sure.
Christ how dumb his supporters are. The hundreds of billions he stole from us then is going to be chump change to the amount he steals this time.

I’d be more concerned about the next 2 years. I wouldn’t be surprised if his handlers have him do more serious things, then blame it all on him when he’s out of office. And considering how quickly his health seems to be declining, either way he wins and heritage wins.

The longstanding practice has been to audit every sitting president and VP annually under IRS policy. It was generally followed for recent presidents other than Trump. The notable failure documented by the congressional committee was the lack of timely mandatory audits of Trump while he was in office, not that he uniquely objected to a process others cheerfully accepted. The meme reverses the actual sequence and outcome.

u/N19ht5had0w 21h ago
There is no problem if he's not corrupt. But then he shouldn't think that it's a problem. Therefore he's rotten to the core

It’s funny but in reality none of the presidents have been audited. But I do think Biden did his job to audit Trump.

u/upsidedownpanda623bc 21h ago
The audit wasn't the problem, it was the illegal leak of his taxes that was the issue. He turned over his financials.

Sure it was a problem, the IRS kept digging and digging and then made s*it up when they couldn’t find anything. All the other presidents the IRs gave them the benefit of a doubt.

I think the objection was mostly framed around the fact that they leaked his tax returns which he didn’t want to show the public. It’s layer on layer of bullshit but that’s the reason.

If IRS auditing showed no corruption of the Presidents, this is proof that the IRS itself is corrupt
Or at least useless

As I look at these comments from an independent viewpoint, how many of you people think you were actually swaying people over to your way of thinking or your way of voting? I mean you do realize when you follow one party for the rest of your life you’re giving away your voting power, right? You’re a lifelong statistic at that point that they can count on. Don’t give away your anarchy. It’s the only true power we really have. Remember what George Washington said: follow no political party. This was the only thing you were taxed with as an American citizen was the ability and the willingness to affect change. I say that to say this Trump one with 5 million independent votes because 25 years of liberal control and stagnation the pendulum has swung the opposite direction. If you don’t understand what I’m saying, look at Germany right now with the Nazi party back in Control because liberalism doesn’t listen to its own people. Globalization and socialism is their main agenda and how can they achieve those goals while listening to their own people?👀
