This is the Princess/sorceress. She is the one sending out quests to combat The Nothing- a concept of what brain rot and a lack of imagination lead to- which is destroyer her realm of fantasy. And the only real unsettling part is towards the end with an interaction with the werewolf Gmork…or the loss of Artax the horse. Spoiler- they hold back the Nothing in the end, so the trials and hardships are emotionally lessened. That being said- seeing this as a child will leave permanent mental impressions.

To be clear- their website freak me out more than them. I appreciate spiders cus I hate roaches and flies, however when they're everywhere and I walk through a web and it comes to eat me.. THAT is what's terrifying. So being tucked into a black hole filled with webs.. Why. Why did I let my brain go down this route.. And praying I never meet that fear again thank you.

You can personify a concept or an existential dread fairly easily I feel. Just an amalgamation of sybols/objects that bring forth that emotion from you.

A humanoid darkness that walks, the world seems to recoil from it's path. Wherever it moves it is alone and issolated from the light and warmth of the world.
The weight it carries and it's exhausted steps remind you of yourself, the points in life after you have been struggling to keep up with your colleagues or friends, who seem to be more talented, who's life seems almost effortless.

Not that im brave, i do get creeped out. Like singular clocks give me a liminal feeling, but im not really averse to stuff.
Most fears stem from the fear of death, but i dont really fear death. So i guess that might be the reason.
