Help with ikea sofas

Is there any way to make these 2 sofas play nice together? the armrest makes one of the seats useless so maybe a way to not use the armrest but not have the side exposed??

These are the sofas

Edit to add: the brown dresser next to the TV unit is actually a fireplace 🔥

The room is too small for those two sofas.

turn them around 180° to have the 3 seater against the wall and remove the armrest that is between the 2 sofas and you have a nice U like sofa.

What would you do with the raw edge where the removed armrest would be 

And the wall with the shelves the short brown dresser is actually a fireplace

Slide it against the other sofa so you don’t see it?

It has screws to attach to armrest that would damage the other sofa

And those can’t come out? Are you planning on arranging the sofas yourself? I would skip the step that adds the screws. But you can check the manual to see of those are separate or are integrated into the sofa.
Usually, ikea has the screws separate

Upon checking the manual for you, I noticed that the seat is supported by the armrest. The armrest is as high as the seat. So either you keep the armrest, and accept a harder piece in your sofa, or you make a custom support piece to fit the end of the sofa.
Or you abandon the bed sofa storage idea and get a modular sofa that’s big enough to sleep guests
