Weather had been great recently for workouts. Started at 6:30 and stopped back at home itself.

Yes I’m joining the club with Cradiac Concept x this festive season. Also, a big thank you to this community for motivating me to make this choice.

My cycle - firefox axxis
The mechanic (from my local shop) said that my headset part have to be replaced otherwise it will break and can cost me so much so in fear I said to go ahead and change it.....
after a while he said that whole headset part must be replaced, he charged me 400 ish rs for that and said "look, your previous one has been sliced (as shown in pic)"
The new part is not sliced like in the pic
after the replacement now the handle is to some extent is stiff (not how it was before)
He also changed the rear axle since the thread of it was sliced

I visited decathlon to get some shorts and saw a RC120 previous model microshift one lying there looking brand new in the second life section. I inspected talked to a few friends and got it for 30k😁. It’s a good deal seeing the tyres are literally new as well. If not told can’t guess it’s a second life bike.

Any brands which are good
Is Cradiac a good brand?
I saw many amazing cycles of that brand but I also need it in non gears
Heard about Stryder TATA brand as well

It has been a long-unfulfilled dream of mine to buy a bicycle, my goal is to improve my fitness, long rides, and go on city tours whenever I want. Since I am 6'2", I need a frame that fits me, and I would like to spend 10k–15k on my first bike.

Hi everyone, I am stuck in a situation my riverside 120 is about 3 months old, when I ride it the seats tilts/inclines, I come back and tighten the nuts on both the sides of the seat. It happens everyday and is quite annoying. I took it to a local mechanic and he told to change the seat. The doubt is can it happen on a new cycle (~3 months).
This is my first cycle so I am a newbie to this stuff. What are possible solutions ?

What are your thoughts and experiences on this brand's bikes (mtb specifically)? Are they proper beginner MTBs? They are giving pretty good specs in the 50-70k range.
However I have never seen anyone outside india, particularly european and american creators or sellers promote or even review this brand, unlike Polygon.
And I've watched a lot of 'sub $1000 bike' videos.
Even the indian YTbers are divided. One fat cyclist who says he gives 'unbiased' reviews passionately promotes it whereas a certain 'MTB rider' advises against it.
Who to believe???

Generally all my BRM friends prefer highways but I want to know why? As village roads are often shorter in distance, with less traffic and also calmer traffic
Although it might have rough patches but still is the trade worth it?

currently I am using a cheap 150rs light from flipkart. now thinking of a upgrade.
Currently thinking of ordering shivexim 800 lumens light. Are there any better alternatives under the same budget
I dont need a back light. Already have a decent light

Is the Bergamont Helix 3.5i a good bike for ₹35,000? I'm new to cycling and looking to buy a hybrid bike. Would you recommend it at this price, or are there better alternatives in the same budget?

I have been trying to make it more straight but again, this single speed won't make me do that, whenever I do straighten it more, the tyre gets tilted more to one side

Maybe a stupid question but do I need to replace these tires because I see creases on them? It's a 6y/o bike. If not how long can they last?

I'm a beginner and I own a Riverside 120. I have had 10 rides total spread across three weeks. I was riding only on weekdays at night and could reach only 6 km max. It gradually went up to 7 and 8. This weekend, I decided to go on a long ride and did 11 km on Saturday morning.
As I was scrolling through the posts in the sub, I saw many people doing 20+ kms in the very early days few even without prior cycling experience for even years. I'm 30 now and the last time I rode a cycle was 12 years ago.
Riverside 120 has 8 gears (I don't understand when people talk about large gear, small gear. So I'll use the numerics). I was told that 4th and 5th gears are closer to the non gear cycle. Now, here is how I use my gears. I usually drive only in 5th or 6th gear. The roads here are mostly plain city roads. Gears 1, 2 and 3 are almost impossible to pedal, it feels like the chain is about to fall off. On 6th gear, I feel the constant load on my thighs, like I'm doing a workout, if the road gets easier like a slope, I switch to 7 th or 8th gear to continue feeling that load on my thigs. Even on the climbs I shift maybe 1 gear to help with the elevation and that's it.
I'm trying to stimulate the non gear cycle mechanics. Mainly because I do not know how to use gears and sometimes driving in easier gear feels like cheating and I can easily do double the distances.
My doubt is, Am I using it wrong? how do you use these gears for long distance? I'll gradually increase my distance over time, but is there anything I'm doing wrong and that I should change? Tried youtube videos and stuff. Almost all of them are talking about the 3x7 gear system and I don't have that.
