Is anyone at the PizzaFest already? How is it so far?
I’m getting ready to go to the 3-6pm session later and am curious how is it going so far? (Parking/lines/pizza samples etc.)

If anyone is flying out of IND today and has to drop checked bags at Southwest desk, get there early. The line goes from the Southwest desk on the north side all the way to the far south side and is wrapped about the lobby. I’ve never seen it that long.

Decided to try playing again, but all I have is an old acoustic guitar that hasn't been played properly in years. It's kind of dusty and just needs a bit of TLC. To be honest I've forgotten basic maintenance and don't want to damage it, so taking it to someone with experience might be a better choice for me. I'd rather not go to a guitar center if anyone knows of any local shops. I live near Riverside Park, but could travel anywhere in the city today. Any info appreciated.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew who to connect with about getting basketball games assigned. I got my IHSSA certification this year and would like to pick up games, especially for the schools on the east side that struggle to get officials.
I have Eventlink, arbiter, and assigner accounts as I officiate a couple other sports. Just new to basketball.
Thanks in advance indy fam.

I’m trying to do flower tattoo that is cute, it doesn’t have to be realistic but I want it to be creative. Any recommendations in Indiana, or should I go to Chicago?

It’s been announced today that Air Canada will begin flying a new direct service between Indianapolis and Montreal, likely starting next spring! Great news for the IND airport and especially for United fliers who receive reciprocal benefits on Air Canada.

Any recommendations for an appliance repair company open on weekends? We have a fridge going out on us now and we just bought groceries. Thanks for your help.

My annual wellness exam is coming up & I'm looking for suggestions on doctors that don't just lecture ya about food choices, take your BP & send you for out for labs with a "see ya next year".
About 10 years ago I (43m) had a doc that would put ya in a paper gown & give a really thorough annual physical. Look for things that you couldn't see (abnormal spots on your skin, check around your ears for sun damage, hearing, vision etc). For example...I used to get testicular exams & last year I brought up how I haven't had one in ages & they just offered to schedule me for an ultrasound. Like if ya found something concerning I could see that but it was more of a "I can't be bothered so I'll give ya a referral for an expensive test". 🫤 WTF
I just want someone who I feel like tries to do the slightest bit of preventative maintenance instead of cranking ya in & out as fast as possible to bill insurance & referring ya for anything else.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Weird request, but is there a gas station chain around here that still has legit slushies (Slush Puppy style) and not the flavored styrofoam ones that are mostly air (frozen coke style)? The Get Go by us used to have the Slush Puppy ones, but they switched over a few years ago, and I feel like I haven’t seen actual slushies in forever.

I thought they had perma-closed a few years ago but I drove past it this afternoon and it looks like they're back in business. Someone's getting chili dogs this weekend! (me)

Hi, I’ll be arriving in Indianapolis on Saturday just to get away from my hometown for the weekend. I’m a young adult in my early 20s and want to have a solid time out here. I love malls so I already found thee-one to go to, so I’ll definitely go there. Other things I’ll check out is downtown (walking around) and Massachusetts Avenue (heard good things about it). I’m big into nightlife as well so I’m planning to hit a few gay bars in the evening. I’m kind of wondering how nice people are out at any bars here because I genuinely want to meet some fun people. I love making new connections out-of-state as well. I was thinking Italian food to treat myself to dinner out, but not sure what all is available and good quality.

Hello!
Looking to see if anyone has suggestions for an event space. Looking for 200ish people. Not a wedding. A full kitchen/kitchenette would be a huge bonus. Not looking to spend a lot of money if possible. Event has been held several times around Indy, just looking for more ideas.
Thanks :)

Is there a protest going on today? There was a good turnout last year.

Does anyone have experience with Hawx pest control in the Indy area? They quoted me $1000 for exclusion, $300 for trapping/baiting, and $6500 for a full attic insulation replacement and disinfecting. It's a much better price than orkin gave me years ago, but I'm honestly incredibly overwhelmed and stressed out about this as it's all just got really bad at once. I'm considering doing the payment plan with no interest if paid off within 12 months.
I'm 16w pregnant and incredibly stressed out about it. I just don't want to make the wrong choice. The only red flag I noticed was that the sales guy was very pushy and tried to get me to agree to the service before he left. Otherwise, it sounded great. I just wanted to hear from locals on any experience with them, positive or negative. I also got a quote from critter control but they quoted me $990 just to replace roof vents and seal two holes in my exterior. I also learned they're a sister company to orkin which I don't love.
The guy got me really worried telling me all the air from the attic is coming down into the house, so I could get health issues from the mice up there which left me sobbing after he left cause of being worried for my pregnancy (everything is progressing normally this far). Any advice, reassurance, etc would be greatly appreciated!

Now that the end of the year is bearing down on us, I decided it's time to complete the new veteran exemptions form for disabled veterans but the more I read about it, the more I realize there's no point in updating anything because I'm not 100% disabled and I'm not over the age of 62%.
Am I understanding that correctly?
The exemptions went from having various exemptions that could apply to ALL disabled vets to now applying only in cases of 100% and/or age 62+?

UPDATE: 7 of 9 cats have been taken. The two remaining are the two orange boys in the first image. They are bonded but may go separately. The larger one is around 1.5 years old, and the smaller one is about 6 months old.
Please delete if not allowed.
I’m looking for loving, responsible homes for the orange and orange-and-white cats pictured here. They are available for free immediately in the Indianapolis area.
If you’re interested, please message me with which cat caught your eye, a little about your household, and any pets you already have. I can share more photos and the information I have about each cat.
Details:
Location: Southside Indianapolis
Ages and sexes: Kittens are 5-6 weeks and litter trained, cats are from 3-5 months to 1.5 years
Spay/neuter and vaccination status: Not fixed or vaccinated
Experience with children, dogs, or other cats: All but one are good with other cats and great with children. Two cats are bonded and need to stay together for best care.
Adoption arrangements: Mother and nursing kittens must go together. The two bonded cats should stay together. The other can go individually.
They’re ready for new homes now, but finding a suitable home matters more than a quick pickup. Please reach out if you’re seriously interested!
