It’s is a pop-rock anthem capturing the exhausting toll of hustle culture, the weight of hyperindependence, and the quiet grief of the femininity lost somewhere along the way. Do listen to it and lemme know your thoughts on it!

posted yesterday, and I got some downvotes without comment. guessing it was my framing of it, since I guess I was trying to be "cool" forgetting that, well... I'm not. so I wanted to give it another swing. lately I've been getting into loops and production, and I have a lot to improve on in both of those departments. so, I'm hoping I can get feedback from some people who have a good ear for that sort of thing--well, from anyone really. it would mean a lot to me to hear what others think!

Hello all! I am a 23 year old shoegaze artist from southern MI. I wrote, produced and recorded this entire EP on my own over the past year. I’ve put together a band for live performances (which have been endlessly fun and exciting!). The next album (sophomore record) will be recorded as a band, but here’s how it sounds with just me.

It would mean the WORLD to me and the band if you guys took the time to check out the work I’ve put in over the past few years. I recorded this all with a busted Shure SM-57 and a shitty interface. I find you’ll enjoy this if you’re fans of artists such as Whirr, Slowdive, DIIV or Glare. Thank you so much for constantly inspiring me in this subreddit, love you all. - Zachary Smith

Disclosure: our band. Our debut album came out Friday: ten songs we just played across ten cities. Piano next to arena guitars, quiet verses that break open, mixed by Jay Dufour (Billy Talent) and mastered by João Carvalho.

Hello! Today, I’d like to share a Korean song I wrote and composed. I’m not a native English speaker, but I’ve included English subtitles in the video so you can follow the lyrics and enjoy the song :)))

Thank you for your interest, and have a wonderful day!

My first single “Blur” is now available on all streaming platforms.

I started making music with high hopes and ambitions.

As it was a lifelong dream, that beginning felt bigger than any other.

Perhaps because it was too immense to carry and endure, I slowly began to sink under its weight.

I looked beneath my feet. It seemed endless, and fear only grew.

Realizing my frantic thrashing was in vain, I stilled my body.

I do not know how to get back. Nor do I know when.

When the ripples stopped, a faint light seeped in.

The light had been shining on me all along.

It wasn’t the vanished light that kept me stuck down here, but the fear lurking beneath my feet.

I know that one simple kick, repeated over and over, will carry me back to the light above.

I know that the hopes and ambitions I thought I had lost will shine on me once again.

Blur is a song for those who find themselves sinking, unable to escape the moments that were perhaps always meant to come.

Blending the sounds of indie rock and indie pop with the wistful, dreamlike atmosphere of dream pop, I wanted the song to invite listeners to reflect on their past, present, and future.

Blur might not be for everyone as it's my first song. I may not have fully expressed the emotions and story I wanted to tell, and the musical quality might not have been enough to fully support them.

But if you love the stories every music can tell, and if you share that very same, unconditional love for music that I do, I am certain that one day, my music will find its way into your hearts.

Thanks a lot for reading this long post.❤️
