Yeah, she was intoxicated, and if the cops got there she would've gotten a dui, went to jail, lost her license and & her grandma's car impounded instead of just damaged.

But instead she got a slap on the wrist.

All that considered, she was correct.

The dude did not, in fact, understand. And, leaving the scene at almost any cost was her best option.

This is what gets me, why does he feel the need to trap her? Like honestly "hit and run" is a million times easier to get through with insurance than having the person present. He's just being a dick. What does he stand to gain?

He literally said she almost hit him in the video. If she was high/drunk (which the fact that she was sent to a substance abuse program implies) then trying to stop her from driving is taking the most obvious steps to keep everyone else safe. How is he the asshole in this situation?

Because she's not high, she's having a nervous breakdown that's being exacerbated by him. She's not slurring words, she's not blocking light from her eyes, she's not struggling with physical coordination. He decided to corner her then got upset that she responded like shed been cornered. Theres nothing to gain from what he's doing, but its obvious she's desperate and he's making it worse. If he was trying to help anybody he wouldve tried calming her down, he's doing what hes doing to feed his ego

You can see multiple instances of her being massively reckless in the video. If it was because of a nervous breakdown or drugs (and yes people on drugs sometimes act like this), it is clear that she shouldn’t be driving in this state.

She is deathly afraid of staying there despite knowing it will catch up to her, to the point of shoving the bumper inside the car. She's also quite hyperactive the entire time.

This looks to me like she took a drug (an upper like speed or cocaine most likely) and knows that she cannot be tested for it by the police or risk much more than "just" a hit-and-run (with all potential consequences coming from her family knowing about her drug abuse probably scaring her further).
