lol, domestic cats kill so many birds on their outside walks. They don’t lose that desire at all.

The only thing they might lose is their desire to eat what they caught. In which case, you might get it as an offering.

Ours catches mice strictly to "play" (i.e., torture) them to death, which thankfully is at least bloodless (I think he winds up smothering them), but he does sometimes end up offering them to my wife in bed.

We've also seen him let a mouse go so that he can eat a regularly scheduled meal of cat food, then recapture the same mouse once he's done. Madman.

I had a feral cat who self-domesticated when he was injured and found that living indoors was much more comfortable than living in the wild. Because he'd been staying inside so much, his girlfriend got concerned about him not eating enough and kept bringing chipmunks to the back door and leaving them for him to eat. He'd sniff them, then go back inside and eat the kibble we kept out for him.

Cats keep reminding people why they are the perfect killing machine lol.

No they can lose the desire to hunt at all as well. Only about a third to half of pet cats that are allowed out bother to hunt

How many birds do humans kill?

Also, if we didnt took them indoors, they would do what they naturally would, kill birds outdoors.

Just stating a fact, I don’t really have a strong opinion about it.

Humans kill a lot of birds. Mostly by being dumbasses and letting their cats go outside to decimate local bird populations

Nice cop out. Humans kill more birds than cat ever could because we bulldoze their society and say it's ok that planet earth am handle 12B people.... Which will definitely push most species to extinction but hey, who cares, we can make it work by living within our means, whatever that means when you happily dump.anoyher billion people on planet earth every decade.

human encroachment on animal habitat kills 100% of the animals it displaces, arrogant owners of indoor cats included.

We’re talking about cats, not humans.
