Question is this normal?
I am a person that craves solitude but terrified of isolation.
genuinely love being alone in my room but i am terrified of being lonely, especially going through a hard time and you get bad news on your phone and you feel like there is absolutely no one to share it with, THAT terrifies me.
Maybe i am not an introvert and i am finding this out now .

i feel this way sometimes as well i want to one day have a wife and kids. I enjoy my time alone like you but that doesn't make the loneliness go away

Definitely agreed and it’s hard for introverts to be in any kind of relationship because we keep to ourselves , but that doesn’t make us immune to crave relationships.
I hope you find the most wonderful women and have the future that you want .1

That's completely normal. Enjoying solitude doesn't mean you don't need connection. You can love having time alone and still want someone to share the good and bad moments with.

Feeling the same way-like my need for solitude will cause me to spend my last days alone and lonely..it's a quandary..

You’re not alone in this , and there is no lie in that it’s harder to find someone as an introvert, but the chances aren’t slim.
I hope you find the most incredible person that appreciates you enough to not make you feel bad because of how you like spending your time and may they become your comfort zone.❤️

Have you thought about finding just one or two 'low-maintenance' friends you could text in those moments?

I do have a lot of friends but none of them are THAT close to me.

Being alone and being lonely are 2 different things. I absolutely adore my solitude but I can't handle being lonely since my husband passed. The things that terrifies me is the very high probability that I'm gonna die alone and, knowing my kids, it'll probably take a week for them to notice
