Bradford pear?

I've never seen fruits this big (golf ball sized) on a Bradford pear before! Is this common in some varieties?

No, Bradford/callery pears are about the size of a dime

Might be a type of Korean pear?

Hard to tell though. Many fruit bearing varieties will produce small fruit like this when they aren’t pruned or thinned and just allowed to grow.

Probably not good for eating, but you could pick them and make pear cider or pear butter.

But probably not a Bradford pear unless it’s a cross with a different pear.

Heyzues, those things are gigantic. Everything about it says callery pear, but I also have never seen fruit that big.

I've read the trees can pollinate with regular pears to make offspring that have larger fruit.

But dayum.

My guess is accidental hybrid. Taste one to see if they’re any good, bc if it has Bradford genes, there’s a chance they might be nasty.

…Assuming it’s a pear, anyway.
