How much commission for real estate agents?

Salam everyone, hope you all doing good!! I’m curious to know and learn about how much commission does real estate agents charge generally for a property purchase via them or for having a rental from them signed? Would appreciate insight from someone knowledgeable in Iranian real estate market.

Half a percent from each side (bueyr and seller) is there norm for purchase. For rental half a month from each side is the norm. But the actual commission is dealt before signing the deal. In many cases the commission is lower. Sometimes when the real estate is hard to sell, or is very good deal, the agent asks for a higher commission from the seller or buyer before moving on.
