Stressful week, I wonder how I’m gonna adapt to school life once this lockdown ends... it’s been so long

It has always been a pet peeve of mine when people talk about the Qiraat as if it is some conspiracy Muslim scholars have been trying to keep secret from the masses.

It feels so good not hearing about Trump anymore. Hopefully the world can move on

This is right, we shouldn't get complacent though, but it's nice to take a mental break from politics from time to time.

Is it forbidden to hug someone of the opposite gender who is a Non-Muslim? 🤔

Well, if he/she is not a child? Like someone who is your age

Thanks. How about a Non-Muslim (again, of the opposite gender) hugging a Muslim?

prayers feel empty, as always, beginning to feel sick with this unending routine, just end me

I think most struggle with prayers but you have to do them no matters what, even if you're sick and can't move in the prophet (said the first thing Allah will judge is our prayers if it's good , then our deeds are good if not then the rest of deeds are not) sorry about the translation, but i want to say is i feel you , but u gotta do it anyway just like any other daily tasks, and sins can hold you back from praying. One man said he had to struggle for 40yrs to actually enjoy praying, try to do it slower and concentrate more on what you read, u will get used to it till it becomes a daily habbit. I hope i helped you.

Are you praying because you want to or are you doing it half-heartedly? If you do it from your heart then you'll surely feel closer to Allah. Make dua to him and try to understand the meanings of the duas you recite in your prayer. Try talking to Allah too in your duas. Allah is no stranger and understands us better than our own selves because he is closer to us than our own jugular vein. Ask Allah for help and pour out your feelings to him (don't be shy). He'll surely help you.
Allah created our feelings as well so he's the only one who can take care of them and hold us together when nobody else can meet our emotional needs. :)

Do we have to pray the prayers that we didn't pray for couple of days, or pray the current day's only?

I just watched a debate about if science exists in the Quran.
This gets me two questions.
- I am happy to grant that science exists in the Quran, but how does that get me to gods being real? Please don't say I can't think of any other way it could have happened.
- Would you mind letting me know what the next major scientific breakthrough will be? Should be easy, if you know, the Quran has predictive power.

1) There has to be a creator behind every creation.
Also I found an interesting quote on the internet.
It goes like this: "Just because you can't see the air, doesn't mean you stop breathing. Just because you can't see Allah, doesn't mean you stop believing."
2
u/TheFactedOne Feb 10 '21
Um, you can test for air. Show me how I can test for Allah.

u/ViridiFons Feb 10 '21 edited Feb 10 '21
It's a matter of belief in the unseen. Allah chooses not to reveal himself because he's created this world as a test. We've made a covenant with him as souls (that we'll worship him/remember him) and then he sent us down to earth and tests our faith to see whether we believe in him (the unseen).
2
u/TheFactedOne Feb 10 '21
How do you know that if there is no way to test for it?
1
u/ViridiFons Feb 10 '21 edited Feb 10 '21
Because I believe in the unseen that cannot possibly be tested by the human limitations that Allah has set us with.
1
u/ViridiFons Feb 10 '21
Why do focus on testing? Would you mind sharing your thoughts about Allah with me?
2
u/TheFactedOne Feb 10 '21
I can test for anything in the natural world. I don't have any thoughts on Allah, I don't believe it exists. Stated better, I have never been given sufficient evidence that Allah exists.
3
u/Sultan_BeBsi888 Feb 11 '21
Stated even better, I have never been given any evidence Allah doesn't exist, yet I have been given evidence Allah exists, even if you deem it "insufficient".
1
u/TheFactedOne Feb 11 '21
Really? So do I also need to present evidence that vampire's don't exist?
2
u/Sultan_BeBsi888 Feb 11 '21
There is no evidence they exist however, and they are something we should be able to see with our eyes, interact with, and are completely different from Allah, so you can't compare the two. They are rumoured creation whereas Allah is the creator.

Why do you need evidence to believe? Belief is a choice. If you believe in Allah then isn't it reassuring to know that there's a creator out there who cares for you and watches over you every step of the way?
2
u/TheFactedOne Feb 10 '21
I need evidence because that is how I live my life. Why do you need a creator?
1
u/ViridiFons Feb 10 '21 edited Feb 10 '21
You need a creator to depend on, to take care of you and to give you strength. Allah can take care of your emotions when there are people around you who fail to meet your emotional needs because he created your emotions.

Say there was someone online who you know about but have never seen nor spoken to before. Would you have thoughts about them? You would, in terms of their personality.
So think of Allah in that respect, if you haven't got any thoughts about him. He's known to be the most loving, the most merciful, the most kind, and so on. His attributes should give you enough thoughts about him.
