Every year it's the same story with this K-State game. Leipold spends all week downplaying the rivalry and being all "well we prepare for every game the same" and then we go out and get slaughtered by a team that clearly cares more than we do.

0-8 against rivals is INEXCUSABLE. I say this fanbase should show Leipold just how much we care about this game. EMPTY THE BOOTH next weekend for Baylor. If already have tickets and absolutely must go, BRING A PAPER BAG. I personally will not spend any money on KU football until we beat a rival. SEND A MESSAGE.

A common reply was 'just beat k-state or mizzou'. Now that we know that's off the table, what does he have to do from here on out?

Hi all, my son and I are flying into KC 11/6 for the Chiefs-Jets game Sunday. First time for both of us in KC. My son got tix for the Kansas basketball game Friday night. We're staying in Overland Park and will have a car. Sounds like parking is tough near the Allen Fieldhouse so we're planning to drop our stuff off at the hotel and then drive to Lawrence, probably getting there around 3:30. What's the best garage/lot to park in? Are there good food options nearby? Things to see on campus? Thanks in advance!

Wanted to share some positive energy despite the football games outcome today.

After watching the exhibition against Pitt state, i know it’s Pitt state and the game doesn’t count. But I am excited for this year’s bball team! Feels like it’s been a long time since HCBS has as much depth as he does and with some good talent! Two more exhibitions against Duke and Louisville will provide some good insight and allow Bill to really experiment with crazy line ups if he wants without sacrificing anything. Super excited for November!

...and 11-yr-old daughter fell in love with KU Soccer. Couldn't be happier as a father / alumnus, considering it's her fave sport.

So my Q for the Jayhawk hive mind is, how on earth can those of us living outside the Midwest acquire some of the gorgeous jerseys the ladies play in - the powder blue, the script "Jayhawk" red, or anything for that matter. All the official online sites only have dumb knock-off looking junk, and eBay has maybe two real kits from years back that are a little too far out there.

Is is possible to buy real kits at home matches, like the other sports (and all real soccer leagues)? Or, could I toss a little "NIL" money out there to some players to acquire some powder blues?

Won't be able to make it back to Lawrence this fall for a match, so not sure how to do this. Does anyone go to their home matches, with any intel? Thanks!

KU basketball started hosting the Coach McClendon Classic in November 2023 by hosting NC Central. They followed that up in Nov 2024 by hosting Howard University. Though google tells me KU has not permanently canceled or stopped honoring Coach John McLendon, the specific McLendon Classic game format—which featured multi-day community events and season-opening matchups against Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)—was only hosted for those two consecutive seasons, after which KU has continued to recognize McLendon's legacy through other institutional and educational channels. Any word as to whether KU will start these games against HBCUs back up? I think it would be a pretty cool thing to resume doing.
