Self-Promotion After 30 years in finance, I finally made my first comic. ManPhibian #1 launched last night.
Full disclosure, this is my own book.
Carl Karadonis lost everything, his gym, his family, himself, and ended up invisible on the streets of New York. One night he goes into the East River. What comes out has a sentient shark for a left arm.
We hit 41% in the first 12 hours. Rewards start at $10.

Happy to answer any questions.

Interesting that the shark-arm is sentient in it's own right. Can it talk? Or do the duo have a telepathic connection?

It can not talk and they don’t have telepathy. They kind of learn to work together instinctively.

That sounds like a lot of fun, watching them figure each other out without being able to talk

Kickstarter backers mostly come from outside the platform, in the communities that care about the exact thing you're making. For a comic that's comics and genre-fiction communities asking for new reads. Helpful answers in those communities, naming the project where rules allow, bring in pre-launch followers who convert on day one.
I make ThreadFox: we find Reddit threads where people ask for what you've built, answer them helpfully, and mention your product where it fits and each community's rules allow.
Say yes and I'll send a real thread from this week where your customers are asking, with the reply we'd post, and we'll post it free.
Pilot: $49 for 7 days. We do the research and post up to 50 helpful posts, comments and replies that mention your product where it fits, and you get one report at the end. No automatic renewal. Continue on Starter ($199 / 30 days) any time. https://threadfox.org/managed?tier=employee_pilot#start
