Discussion Roast our Home Lab Kickstarter
We had a moderately successful first Kickstarter and are following it up with Number 2, using constructive feedback from the last one.
The idea is the same: we want to make home labs cheaper, neater, and more efficient. A home lab is when you run server software in your office or home instead of on the cloud. (For example, moving off Google Drive and saving stuff to a Xerxes in your closet.)
The page is kind of an information salad right now, and it's been hard to communicate enough information to techno users without overstimulating more casual users.
Please give us your feedback and it would be super helpful if you tag yourself as techno or casual. Cheers and thank you.

Your post already has the line a casual backer needs first: "moving off Google Drive and saving stuff to a Xerxes in your closet". I'd open the page with that and why it's cheaper and neater than the cloud, then give the techno crowd one clearly headed specs section further down instead of mixing specs into the story. Each reader then knows where they can stop, which is most of the cure for an "information salad".
I make ThreadFox. Our AI employee explains Xerxes in relevant homelab and self-hosting threads on Reddit and answers backers' questions; Starter runs $199 for 30 days, or we'll post 3 replies free first, no card. https://threadfox.vip/p/e3bi4/managed
