This has never happened before in Pujo.They need to do invest in crowd management rather than breaking bookstalls. Big crowds, concerts, carnivals, festivals, religious festivals happen all across the world.Big crowds are not new. Its simply about crowd management and it can be done easily if the authorities just try.Good events will automatically happen

We desperately need to call out Bjp. They focused all their govt machinery on "sanatanizing" the pujo, giving diktats of veg non veg, breaking bookstalls w fucking bulldozers, asking people not to engage with muslim traders during pujo. As a result, the essential things of pujo missed out - lighting, 'vibes', and now as is evident, police and crowd management.
Before bhakts say I am doing politics, yes I am doing it. Proudly, aggressively and with rage in my heart. Bjp would have asked for mamata's blood by now if this would have happened in tmc era.

Its was very easy to blame TMC for opening Pujas on and right after Mahalaya but they very well knew about the massive footfall every year,this year puja started late.

I visited a pretty big pandal yesterday which was so overcrowded that no one could see mud right infront of them until they stepped in it. What caught my eye was the fact that there was only one seat thingy on the whole huge ass giant wheel in the mela.

দেশপ্রিয় পার্ক, টালা প্রত্যয়, শ্রীভূমি আরো এরকম অসংখ্য পূজো যার সময়ে অন্য মাত্রা পেত.... কিন্তু গণ মৃত্যুর মত ঘটনা কখনও ঘটেনি ভয়ঙ্কর বা কোন ঘটনা ঘটেনি কারণ এরকম নিরপত্তা ব্যবস্থাও কখনও হয়নি, কারন সেই সময় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ছিলেন মমতা ব্যানার্জী যতই ট্রোল করুন ওনাকে সবাই,কলকাতার পুজোর ব্যবস্থাপনাই হোক কি দায়িত্ব কলকাতা পুলিশ আর ভলেন্টিয়ার এর মাধ্যমে উনি এতটাই ভালোভাবে করতো। সে পুজো প্যান্ডেলের ভিড় হোক কি যে রাস্তায় যানবাহন নিয়ন্ত্রণ সেটার নিন্দা অতিবর নিন্দুকেরা ও করতে পারবেন না। এমনকি কোভিডকালিন দুর্গাপূজা ২০২০ ও ২০২১ এর সময়েও যাতে সুষ্ঠ ভাবে মানুষ চলাচল করতে পারে প্রতিমা দর্শন করতে পারে সেই দিকেও ওনার ভূমিকা পালন করেছিল যথেষ্ট।যেটা হয়েছে অত্যন্ত দুঃখজনক এই কয়েকদিনের অবস্থা দেখে অন্তত ভাবছিলাম ২৬ এর পুজোয় জৌলুস কমেছে (ভবিষ্যতে আরও কমবে ) এবার গণমৃত্যুর কালো অধ্যায় ও যোগ হলো।

Ar chorbagan er proper exit/emargency exit er kotha tule ar lojja debo na. This tragedy only happened due to mismanagement and indifference of police and organizers. Abar sunchi naki baccha baccha chele meye der volenteer koreche. Ki bolbo eder. Manusher jibon er dam nei eder kache.
