Merch Would you pay more to trade photocards safely?

hi! so i'm working on a little project related to trading photocards and i wanted to get some opinions from people who actually trade :)

i've seen quite a few people getting scammed, especially beginners who don't have many proofs yet, and i really want to find a way to make trading safer.

the problem is shipping 😭 i'm based in france and tracked shipping can cost around 3.50 € for a single letter. if i add some kind of protection on top of that, it could end up costing around 4-5 € per person just to trade.

and idk if people would actually be willing to pay that much, especially when some pcs are only worth 2€.

so i'm curious, would you rather pay a bit more knowing there's some financial protection if something goes wrong, or just stick to stamped shipping and trading proofs?

also if you trade regularly, is there anything you wish was different about how trading works rn?

Yeah i probably wouldn't pay to trade.

Anything expensive or i would cry over trying to replace I ask for tracked mail and I pay for it. Anything i can replace easily or is cheap I have stamped. GG EZ.

This is basically the business model why Pocamarket exist.

They earn money as 3rd party between buyer and seller.

Only if it's a rare/expensive card, if it's just a regular album pc I wouldn't want to pay any more than necessary. I haven't been trading much recently but I used to do multiple trades a week and it would've really added up to have been sending everything tracked/insured, I just sent stamped unless it was an expensive trade and both parties agreed on it.
