FEEDBACK REQUEST Built an app to solve my own problem - would love brutally honest feedback
Hey everyone, new here! I'm a nurse and mom with ADHD. Lately, after lots of therapy, I realized I was snapping at my kids way too often or sitting there trying to relax with a tight chest, with zero warning that dysregulation or stress had been building. By the time I noticed, I was already past the point where the coping mechanisms I'd learned would help. 🤔
I tried everything — read all the books, blogs, used several apps, and even tried a parenting program. Every stress/wellness app wanted the same thing from me: notice I'm stressed, open the app, do a breathing exercise. But noticing early was the actual problem I never solved. By the time I was at my breaking point, ready to yell, my prefrontal cortex was completely offline, and then it's just impossible to find and use those coping mechanisms.
So I built Pause Point — an Apple Watch app that watches for the physical signs your body gives off before you consciously notice, and nudges you in the moment. No dashboard, nothing to log or check.
It's live on the App Store, very early days. I'd genuinely love feedback — especially from anyone who's tried something similar and it didn't stick, or anyone willing to poke holes in the idea itself. Not looking for downloads, looking for honest reactions. TIA
