PLAYER TALK How would we get Cisse?
There’s been a lot of talk lately about the Mavs waiving Cisse and us being able to therefore claim him off waivers, but unless I’m missing something it feels like the sixers would just use their higher waiver priority to snatch him every time? Am I missing something?

Him getting waived is the only chance, and even then there are multiple other suitors.
Mavs FO aren't gonna do business with LAL in the near future, not in any impacting way at least.

We won’t. They matched a RFA offer. He isn’t being waived. Ayton is better than him today and we traded him for an unplayable player and two picks we’d need to trade to replace him

Ayton was a huge headache and he' always will be. Getting him off the team was important. To you point, we are lacking a backup big - sure thing.
We'll get one. Question is if it's gonna be any time soon. I sure hope so. Looney doesn't look good at all and clearly is a 3rd stringer.

We need a rim running and athletic big anyway. Hayes would have been that guy. Ayton is a Schröder Type of guy - not starter not bench - but a huge head case.
The idea makes sense. I hope and believe that these picks will turn into something better or that we can get a 5 of the waivers and use the picks to get a starting PF or some other kind of improvement.

Cisse won’t be waived. Either Tarik Biberovic will or they just won’t bring back DP.
DP is a luxury 3rd string center, a solid second string center and knows exactly what Luka wants. Don’t know why he’s not talked about more. Yes he’s old but he’s better than Looney.
