Look the play was amazing no doubt as a wholeā¦ but his vert is like 8-10 inchesā¦ and if tsn isnāt wildly off in there measurements, he only reach 7ā10
I can do that in bare feet by simply reaching as can Matthews as he is an inch taller than me

Yeah like this man is 6,3. On skates that is maybe 6ā5. After accounting for reach. My calculations conclude that to hit 7ā10 Matthews actually ducked.

I think it's a greater feat because it was done in the moment as a reactionary jump. I think a fair amount of people can do the jump (on skates) from a standing position if simply challenged to.

My closest friend has been saying to trade Matthews. I firmly believe you donāt give up on a mvp winning center whoās gotten top 3 selke votes and could have arguably won it multiple times. This season so far is proving why you donāt.

We should also remember that he was shite for 2 years. And that people were hot about the Olympics and how he went to the Whitehouse to see the pedo in chief. So emotions were high. It isnt surprising that posts like that were popular.
I'm glad he appears healthy and energized for the first time in 2 years.

There were plenty of people pointing out the obvious which is that you should not be using the best goalscorer of a generation like a shutdown 3rd line center, and how it obviously impacts offensive production if you spend that much more time in the defensive zone and on PK duty.
Saying that giving Matthews the C is in the same universe of bad as things like the Tuukka Rask trade, the Kadri trade, letting Marner go for practically free, or the series of mishaps that have led the Leafs to now have one of the worst defense core is just sheer stupidity.Ā

Idk why but when I see this pic for some reason I get Vladdy Vibes. This reminds me of seeing him dive into home with all the passion in the world. Iām glad we got Pappi back. Very happy for him.
