Any advice/critique ?

Some of my asaro heads studies that i've done in the last 3 days (from oldest to newest). Should i just continue to grind like this ? Do you have any recommandations that i can use ?

three days of asaro heads is already more than most people do. the thing that moved me forward was putting the model down and drawing the planes from memory, then checking. copying it you learn the shape, from memory you learn where it actually sits on the skull...

Get some portrait photos of heads in good, directional lighting and draw the planes over those, so you can see how they're actually applied.

If you're working with an actual Asaro head model, the normal one, it's different on the right and left. There's also a separate memorized head, which is the version he actually expects folks to commit to memory. Otherwise it's something you refer to while you're working to help find planar changes, mainly as a painting tool; you're not meant to just draw it over and over again. It's not a head construction method.

Then, what should i do to understand the head better ? Asaro helped me to understand the 3d of the face better than others methods i've tried

Draw heads, look at your drawings, identify one or two specific weaknesses, make those your areas of study, repeat. https://www.reddit.com/mod/learnart/wiki/index/practice
