Help / Question Should I accept this job?
They offered me an opportunity for an admin position combining HR and accounting, which interests me. However, it requires visiting government offices and banks to follow up on paperwork. The thought of running around and waiting in queues makes me anxious.
They are waiting my answer to tell me the offer and the salary if i accepted that.
Without that part, I’d be happy to take the job.
Would you accept it or keep looking?

Depending on the salary
Tell them you don't have a problem with that, let them give you the offer and check the salary.
If it's low, tell them, too low. No thanks

If I was in your place, I would accept, and if I don't like the job... I'd quit right after.
Or not work at all.

Absolutely not, tell them you can't give a final answer before knowing the salary

u/Leader3232 2d ago
Yes i asked them about the offer ...they refused to answer !

u/MutedAcanthisitta247 Lebanese 2d ago
That's the biggest possible red flag. Basically they're saying to your face that the salary is so bad no one would accept it if they knew what it was. PLEASE do not take this job

u/Leader3232 2d ago
The HR made me feel like I was asking the wrong questions!! All I said was that I wanted to see the offer before making a decision.

Bro this entire thing is so sketchy. I'm assuming no daman either. Did they even tell you if you'll get a contact to sign?

Wait it’s a job offer where you have all the details, except the salary? Akid accept nothing until you get all details on paper.

Having been a banker , I can you tell that it’s an easy job.
However whether you should accept it or not depends on how well respected your company is.
I met many company representative or affiliated that would come handle deposits , Tax , Loans , Bills and oversea Transactions.
Here’s what I know from them:
First: the job will have you always on the road ( think 70% on-road 30% office work )
Second: Salary’s usually range from 300$ to 1600$ ( depending on how reputable the company is )
Third: some companies give you Transportation expenses ( money or Vouchers ) , some assign you a Choufer ( I’ve only met one ) , and last they don’t pay you fuel expenses and say it’s part of your Salary ( these are weak and disrespectful companies ).
Fourth: incase of low salary a lot of companies compensate you through service bonuses/ commissions , basically say you deposit 3000$ in the bank for the company owner/ supervisor he may actually give you 3150$ and says deposit 3000$ and 150$ are your’s for your hard-work. This is very common for low wage companies where your basic salary is 300$ but you would get a 150$ tip or a 30$ tip every now and then so you actually salary would be between 300 to 500$.
Lastly you have to make sure your friendly with all the bank , shops , and companies Managers & Assistant Managers since they can really help ease your job. You can call them before hand to get ready to receive you and the occasional surprise food like “ حلو" really helps.
So the most important points for you to ask about are :
- Salary
- Transport expenses
- is there any form of tips or bonuses
- and naturally the basics ( insurance , nssf , work hours , etc )
Hope this helps :)

Thank you ! The problem is i dont see myself as معقب معاملات and in the same time i need a job

Honestly if the wage is good and you own a vehicle you should accept the job.
you work mostly on your own with no supervisor over your head to order you everyday ( naturally there is a supervisor you can call for advice it’s just that if you’re doing good he won’t bother you )
you spend your days on the road fresh air , different environments every day instead of office Walls , and you can make a music playlist to listen to all day or podcasts.
and If you’re a shy it really helps you get out of that phase.
lastly you’ll gain a huge list of connections from the people you meet.
Honestly if these things appeal to you , you should accept the job and if not still accept if it has a good salary mostly to get the experience and the fact that you need a job.
After two months if you don’t like it send in your resignation. You got nothing to lose .
This is my honest advice :)

Bro say yes (it legally means nothing), then see the offer, if the offer is not what you want, tell them how unprofessional they are by not revealing the offer and expecting an aswer first and say no.

See the salary at first and ask them if they will give transpotation for ruunig around give office
1
u/Leader3232 2d ago
Yes i will but the issue is i hate visiting the gvmtl offices and waiting all the day to process stg ! Thats why am confused ! And am unemployed ! So am confused
1
u/ARTHUR_CREED 2d ago
I saw an article Tha around 75 percent of government application are now didgital you can see the office that you have websites
2
u/myeclipsedsun2 2d ago
Say yes but do not sign anything before knowing how much you’ll make.
If the salary covers the actual traveling distances go for it. If you hate it later you can quit easily within the 3 months (usually) probation period.
I’ve been on the same boat with numerous shady companies practices. It is a major reason why I am still unemployed. I wish there was some authority someone could turn to in these situations.

I would love to have such a job becasue I dont like to stick my a** all day on a desk ..but it depends on you ..also another perk is that u wont have micromanagement ( as someone whos constantly looking over u ..ud be on ur own half of the time at least ) u can accept it even without knowing the salary ..then if u dont like it ..u just ignore them ..legally they can't do nothing ..trust me I'm a law grad but I asvise u since ure unemployed accept it and try it ..if u dont like it just leave

The fact that you are expected to accept a job without knowing the salary is a huge red flag.
