I still remember when I hit play on the cassette for LZ1 and the ride started. So good.
I had heard LZ4 and various other songs by then, but I had not heard the album that started it all. What a debut!

Sounds like you're starting on Led Zeppelin I side 1 and going through their catalog in chronological order. Don't forget The Song Remains the Same album comes after Presence and before In Through the Out Door.
Make some posts along the way and let us know how far into it and what your impressions are. Be sure to reference this post. I'm sure others want to hear your impressions as you move along.

Delightful. You will listen to the number-one progressive rock band ever. Led Zeppelin’s evolution is absolutely fascinating.

Great idea. Zep has almost no terrible songs. Would hate to do this with the Stones, too much dreck for my liking

Hats off to Roy Harper is the only one I’m not big on. Dyer Maker is fine to me.

Did this in the middle of summer. I included Little Games by the Yardbirds as a quasi-prequel and you can really hear roots of what Jimmy did later.

When I was a freshman in high school (1977) I went to a party where they played all the Zep albums in a row. Besides the guys friends who was throwing the party if you had a ticket to the upcoming Zeppelin shows at the Garden you could go. I was drunk by Whole Lotta of Love and puking in the bushes by Tangerine. Ahh the good ole days. (I had tickets to opening night at the Garden, my what an evening)
