Other 1992 Lego catalog

This catalog is from 1992. Castles were my favorite themes, the one I had most all the sets for, followed by space, and trains. Thank you for letting me indulge in nostalgia, it’s been a bit of a treat to see the enjoyment these posts bring to everyone. Since the photo limit is 20, I wasn’t able to include the last four pages, the Technic Whirlwind Rescue helicopter, or the Lego Builders Club or Shop at Home service. I always admired the active action that these photos suggested and made it so fun to look through as a kid (and adult). Gotta have all the sets!

Question How can I go about cleaning these?

Was going through my old Legos and didn’t realize how dusty they were until I took them out. How can I go about cleaning them? Do I just use water and soap or do I just soak them in water and what about pieces that have stickers on them do I do something different for those?

Lego inspiration

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m a product design student from Hungary, and I’m currently working on a project exploring how LEGO builders find inspiration when they run out of ideas or want to create something new from the bricks they already have.

My goal is to design a playful, physical tool that encourages creativity, helps people overcome creative blocks, and inspires them to discover new possibilities with their existing LEGO pieces — especially older bricks that might otherwise remain unused.

I know there are already apps and online platforms that provide building ideas, but I’d like to explore an alternative that reduces screen time and encourages hands-on experimentation, playful thinking, and unexpected combinations.

I’d love to hear about your experiences!

💡What do you usually do when you don’t know what to build?
💡Do you use apps or websites for inspiration, or do you prefer experimenting on your own?
💡Have you ever created something completely unexpected from random LEGO pieces?
💡What would help you come up with new ideas?

I’ve also put together a short questionnaire for my research. If you have a few minutes, I’d really appreciate it if you could fill it out!

Thank you so much for your help and for sharing your creativity! ✨

As always, toying and looking and scratching my brain on how to put the finishing touches and jeuje a new vase.

Here are my two new tweaks on the cute little squat vase, I’ve been working with. It does give them more stability and I think they look pretty good.

The one downside is, it does decrease the amount of room you have to arrange with and therefore more restriction. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Still more toying with and brain scratching to come. 🌹🪻🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼💐🪷🍄🐝

MOCs What if... a second version with an extendable cabin...

Hello everyone!

After the amazing feedback on my LEGO City Pickup with Caravan (60182 from 2018), I've implemented your suggestions and done a complete rebuild. Because of the addition of an extendable cab, I've mirrored almost the entire trailer and adjusted the interior. This also makes it two studs longer – the height and width remain unchanged.

What do you think of the new version?

Thank you and have a great weekend!
