How is it getting into the Aviva late? (Like 20 minutes before kickoff)

I don’t go to many Aviva games and when I do I’m usually very early. Going out with the girlfriend on Saturday but was looking to see if it’d be realistic for us to go to the match afterwards. With times and everything, would be getting to the stadium at around 20 to 6 which is closer than I’d like.

Anyone able to tell me how I’d fair getting in so late? Not the end of the world if I miss kick off

Injury update & Munster build up

Please see below the injury update from Leinster Rugby from October 19 2026

FURTHER ASSESSMENT REQUIRED:

Jordan Larmour (Calf) will require further assessment as he integrates into training.
Hugh Cooney sustained a hand injury in the A game vs Edinburgh and will require further assessment.

NOT AVAILABLE FOR SELECTION:
Andrew Osborne sustained a head injury in the A game versus Edinburgh and will follow the graduated return to play protocol.
Hugh Cooney sustained a hand injury in the A game v Edinburgh and will require further assessment.
Jack Conan sustained a shoulder injury in the EPCR game v Clermont Auvergne and will require further assessment.

NO FURTHER UPDATES ON:

Harry Byrne (Concussion), Jack Boyle (Achilles), RG Snyman (knee), Caelan Doris (Foot & Knee), Paddy McCarthy (foot), Diarmaid Mangan (foot).

Larmour getting back to fitness is good news, he'll definitely be needed. Cooney injured isn't, as we're already very tight at 13 and likely Ringer will be gone now for Autumn after Munster game.

Harry Byrne has been out now for 3 weeks with concussion. That doesn't sound great at all.

Sounds like JGP will be good to go for the weekend.

Team I'd go for against Munster, with a little bit of rotation:

Porter, Sheehan, Clarkson, Ryan, McCarthy, Baird, Penny, Deegan, JGP, Sam, JOB, Osborne, Ringer, TOB, Keenan

Kelleher, Usanov, Furlong, COT, VDF, Gunne, Carbery, Henshaw

Has Frawley's start at Connacht given anyone second thoughts about how Leinster handled him?

Big start for Frawley at Connacht. Delighted to see it for him. Anyone else having some regrets that he didnt get some more opportunities at 10 maybe in Leinster?

Hi everyone,

Shameless plug a new app/website my relative is developing which intends to cover all aspects of Irish Rugby, not just another app giving scorelines etc.

It brings together Irish rugby news, Ireland and provincial coverage, fixtures, results, league tables, injury updates, squad news and AIL coverage, as well as Irish players playing abroad.

Handy if you want to keep up with more than just the Ireland internationals and stay on top of what's happening across the provinces and domestic game.

Please have have a look and let me know what you think and any tips/suggestions more than welcome

How did Leinster let this one slip

Post image
31 Upvotes

The man only left school in 2025 and straight away he was swooped up by Connacht. He played age grade for Leinster and looked pretty good in the senior cup in his final year. At u20s he’s been unbelievable how did Leinster let this guy slip and there keeping the likes of Andrew Osborne on and not signing Dan Ryan. I feel like this could go down as one of Leinster’s worst decisions by not signing him.

Leinster vs Munster Attendance

Is fhere any real chance of a sellout at this stage? Ticket sales seem sluggish. On Ticketmaster it looks like half the upper tier haven’t even gone on sale yet.

The left wing this week

The standards by which Leinster are judged and the hypocrisy are infuriating.

They spoke aboht how consistent Leinster have been, no group stage poss since 2018 then go on to say 'theyre not consistent enough to win big games'. I know theres a pattern there and I should ignore it but fuck me its infuriating

Last 2 seasons we have 2 league wins, a EC final and semi, noone is that consistent. Then they go on to our southern comrades and they said a home quarter final would be an achievement

In ainm focain Dé

Injury update for Clermont

Jamison Gibson-Park (groin) and James Culhane (hamstring) will both be further assessed this week with a decision on their availability to be made later in the week. There are no further updates on Jack Boyle (Achilles), RG Snyman (knee), Caelan Doris (foot & knee), Paddy McCarthy (foot), Jordan Larmour (calf), Harry Byrne (concussion) and Diarmuid Mangan (foot)

JGP must've not come through training last week. He's out on paddock again today according to the Sportsfile pictures, so hopefully he makes it.

They're obviously giving Harry a few weeks rest after another head knock.

Team I'd go for based on the above:

Usanov, Sheehan, Furlong, Ryan, McCarthy, Baird, VDF, Conan, JGP, Sam, JOB, Osborne, Ringrose, TOB, Keenan

Kelleher, Porter, Clarkson, Deegan, Penny, Gunne, Tector, Henshaw.

Could also go 6/2 and stick COT in for Henshaw. That would give a very good pack bench.

I'd start Usanov because I think he was excellent scrum wise on Sat and could actually help us paint a good picture to the ref. Porter impact would be good also.

Autograph Alley at Match vs Cardiff

Hi,

this is first post here.

I've been at yesterday's match vs Cardiff with my kids and we luckily managed to get a slot in the autograph road.

We shook hands with Joey Carbery and Jamison Gibson-Park, but we couldn't tell who the third player was.

Is someone able to shed some light on this?

Blinded by the Lights

The floodlights on the Anglesea Stand seem to be aimed badly - as in, shining straight into the eyes of those in the Grandstand (Section T in our case). I could only follow play by shielding my eyes with my hand. Sam took his four conversion attempts from just in front of us and I reckon the glare from the lights was a factor in his three misses. Anybody else experience this?

Season Ticket Pack

Is it just me or is the STH pack (and associated benefits) getting worse year after year. Yet another scarf (which is to be expected) and a single key ring. Not even a Lifestyle Sports discount to get a bit off some kit when Munster STH get one is taking the piss.

Leinster organization is ajoke

Is it just me but entry, the bars and season ticket collection is a disaster. Collecting wristbands for terraces is insane.

Someone should be reconsider how to run the system.

Edit: staff were nice, friendly, organization appalling. Multiple queues, no clear path, pack queue unclear until they got people out.

Tickets and season ticket mails were treated differently. Queues for wristband zones were badly and inefficiently handled.

Needs someone to actually think about time and motion studies

Harsh firing someone, so changed it

Alan Spicer

I’m no scientist but I reckon Spicer is the largest human to ever exist.

In all seriousness, that’s a very hefty 2nd and back row we can put together now. Baird, Spicer, Big Joe, James Ryan, Snyman, Conan, Doris, Conor o Tighearnaigh all serious units.
